Report Alleges Fox News Is Bowing to Gay Agenda

As part of a national journalism conference on Tuesday, America's Survival Inc. (ASI), a public policy organization, is officially releasing a new report on radical changes at Fox News that should cause great concern to pro-family conservatives.

"Pushing Sean Hannity out of the 9 p.m. slot to make way for pro-homosexual advocate Megyn Kelly is another sign of the channel's leftward drift and decline," says ASI President Cliff Kincaid, a veteran journalist and media critic.

Mocking the Fox motto of "Fair, Balanced and Unafraid," the new report is titled "Unfair, Unbalanced and Afraid: Fox News' Growing Pro-Homosexual Bias and the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association." It is available in advance at the ASI website at usasurvival.org.

The 40,000-word report, written by former reporter and social activist Peter LaBarbera, examines how journalism today, even at Fox News, "has become pro-homosexual propaganda, with many media stories appearing as if they were written by LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) activists."

Like other major media, the report notes that Fox News, through its parent company, News Corporation, is a longtime funder of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA). LaBarbera runs the Americans for Truth About Homosexuality group.

The cover of the report features a photo of Fox News star and afternoon host Megyn Kelly posing for a photo at the 2010 NLGJA fundraiser in New York City. Every year, Fox News violates basic journalistic ethics by joining other major media as a corporate sponsor of the NLGJA.

The report cites documentary evidence that the coverage of homosexuality by Fox News is tilted in a left-wing direction and that the channel has failed its conservative viewers. When Kincaid and LaBarbera sent a letter to Fox chief Roger Ailes earlier this year asking for a meeting on the subject, they were rebuffed.

At the Aug. 20 conference, Kincaid will narrate a PowerPoint presentation titled "The Rise and Fall of Fox News," focusing on how the channel has gradually abandoned its viewer base and why conservatives should look elsewhere for news and information.

Acknowledging that the channel began and succeeded as a platform for conservative voices ignored by the major media, Kincaid will nevertheless explain why he is troubled by a series of liberal hires at the channel and a new book that documents Ailes' relationships with civil rights agitators Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Kincaid will also discuss the real reason Glenn Beck was fired from the channel.

While examining how various Fox News personalities have approached the homosexual issue, the new ASI report looks closely at Kelly, a so-called "rising star" at the channel who has a history of trying to "marginalize and discredit religious conservatives." Hannity currently hosts his show during the 9 p.m. time period Kelly is reportedly taking over.

One of the examples cited in the report is how Kelly emerged as a "transgender advocate" for "Chaz" Bono after the former child actor switched genders from female to male. Kelly was "arrogant and belligerent" in a 2011 interview with Dr. Keith Ablow, in response to his excellent FoxNews.com article urging parents not to let their impressionable children watch Bono on Dancing With the Stars. Kelly's hostile interview with Ablow reached a low point when she accused him of "adding to the hate" against transgenders.

The report adds, "Viewers should remember that it was Kelly ... who set up Bill O'Reilly's 'Thump the Bible' hubbub by stating that in her prior interview with Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, she did not hear any 'compelling' arguments against same-sex 'marriage.' This led O'Reilly to enthusiastically agree and make his famous remark (which many Christians and conservatives found pejorative)."

"So-called 'Bible thumpers' and other Christians and conservatives who have been offended by Fox News should get the message," Kincaid says. "This is a channel that has lost its way and that viewers should lose their way to on the remote control."

I never did care for Megyn Kelly.

And of course Fox is really only worldly conservative, & not Christian conservative just as most republicans are.

I knew they were planning on placing Megyn in a night time slot, but had no idea where. some had speculated it would be Greta's spot.

And its been said that Michael Savage will replace Sean Hannity on the radio.

Funny thing, Kelly is Southern Baptist!

Most of the personalities and those in charge are Catholics, so while politically conservative they are not God honoring people and they are moving left pretty fast, as is the rest of this sin stricken nation.

They are not even politically conservative, more close to neo-con and to the left of that. This is why they got rid of Beck and why they cancelled Judge Napolitano, and why they slight or tear down anyone close to be a true conservative or traditional constitutionalist.

A couple of years ago I fired O'Reilly after watching his show since '96.  Then Beck was fired in 2010 and Hannity a few months later.  The whole channel has been tuned out almost entirely now, maybe a couple of segments a week.  It's just noise to me now, little to do with honoring God.

Huckabee wasn't even an honorable mention, he never failed to not stand up for the Gospel.  It's been said that once in a while he sticks up for the things of God now.

This is just the start, republican now will have to turn gay. If they ever want to win the white house again. This means there will never be a Christian again leading for us in the white house. Soon we will see more, you heard it from the TGL first.

The last "Christian Republican" president in the White House had a VP who was openly supportive of homosexual "rights", appointed more open homosexuals to federal positions than any previous president, had a Secretary of State (Rice) giving homosexual supportive speeches, and greatly expanded the grounds for full Republican embracing of homosexual "rights".

I watch as little of FOX as is possible.

I've watched this turn about on FOX for several years now. Beginning with Charles Krauthower's remark just before Obama ended Don't Ask Don't Tell in the military. Not an exact quote but, words to the effect of, it's probably overdue. Yes, I've heard the lawyer "news personalities" of FOX openly support the homosexual agenda, (Megan) isn't the only one.

Considering Fox leans establishment Republican, and the Republican Party is continually leaning more Left, continually working to get rid of the "heavy baggage" of "conservative social issues" and be a Party focused many upon what they consider conservative fiscal policies, it's really no surprise Fox News is moving right along with them.

When I 1st got a satellite I though a lot of Fox news. Yet as time went on I became aware they're only worldly conservative & not the least bit Christians conservative, just as the republican party.

Yet they'er  better than NBC, ABC, CBS, & CNN, that is overall they're a bit more truthful than those 4.

And I believe that is correct, the republican party will have to change if they want to get the White House once again. Our country has gone liberal, which is not surprising considering that most people that claim to be Christian in this country are liberals.

Anyone know why Beck was fired? I used to listen to him on the radio back in early 2000's and liked him. I like listening to Hannity on radio and Rush of course.

In the months before I stopped watching him, Beck was quietly inserting a lot of Mormon thinking into his shows.  Many of the historians and book writers were Mormon.  Of course, his trying to create paradise here on earth is little different than the communist trying to create utopia.  Neither is biblical.  Beck said, he felt hamstrung, unable to express himself (tell the truth about the enemy?).  I don't doubt it.  These guys are talking heads, exposing what satan is doing through the left to destroy this nation and separate people from God but none of them are genuine born-again Christians.  They're as lost and headed for hell as Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi.

If we Christians truly wanted to turn America back into a God-honoring nation again, it would have to be through force, not talking.  That being said, there are not enough around to do it.  So we gently hold the line while they push us back and evangelize while waiting for that sound of the trump.

Beck was bringing up too many uncomfortable historical facts the schools and media work hard to keep hidden. Beck was also calling for a return to more traditional and constitutional government, in a more true way than the phony "conservatives" who say they want that but their actions consistently indicate otherwise.

All of this was a threat to the heads of the Republican Party, and of course the Democrats didn't like it either. Beck had to go.

Actually, if Christians truly wanted to turn America toward God, force would be among the last things to consider. While false religions can force "conversions" and compliance with what appeases their god, that's not true of Christianity. Scripture informs us that our battle is not with men, ideologies, philosophies, political leanings or the like. Rather our battle is a spiritual battle and the only way to fight the battle and the only way to have any victory in the battle is through the spiritual means Scripture provides.

If America isn't turned toward God by the preaching of the Gospel, the making of disciples, followers of Christ being seen walking as Christ walked, not as the world walks, then America is lost.

If Christians in America are unwilling to confront the real enemy, unwilling to example Christ to those around them, unwilling to spend time in prayer, unwilling to spread the Gospel, unwilling to make disciples, unwilling to support their home church, missionaries and such with their time, talent and treasure, then Christians in America shouldn't complain about the mess around them and should expect nothing less than things getting worse.
