It sounded legit to me until she came home all perky and happy and hanging out on social media. Did some online research of other people's opinions (not really news) and there is some suspicion that she played a large, if not possibly a leading, role in this. She does not seem to be grieving the death of THREE people she supposedly cared for. (Mom, brother, the dude she went with).

It's in the news that they found a bunch of letters from her to the guy...and also they texted back and forth quite a bit before he blew up the house....so....weird stuff. I hope that if she isn't really the victim she is portraying, that they find out and expose it and prosecute her. Of course if she truly is a victim, then she needs to grow up and chill out and act appropriately.

I didn't hear about this until she and the kidnapper were spotted.  But the description is what made me think something was hinky.  They were walking together, seen by people, but she didn't try to get away or anything.  Stockholm Syndrome is very real, and kidnapped people often feel their kidnapper is good.  But she hadn't been "abducted" long enough to have formed that.

I read about the letters and the texts.  There was a picture, too, of him with the family. They all looked pretty cozy.

Sometimes grief/shock has weird effects on people.  Maybe she is coping by being silly.  I doubt it, but it is possible.  I, too, hope they find out the truth.  If she was a victim, she needs to learn to deal with it.  If she was a perpetrator, she needs to be exposed and prosecuted, as you said.

(and I wonder if the guy is related to Joe?)
