One thing for sure, not a one of us shall escape this world without death, unless Jesus comes for His own before we face it.

Like the man who went to visiting his doctor for a check up. His doctor told him he was in very good health.

A few weeks later he got another appointment, again he wanted his doctor to check him out again and to run ever test possible, the doctor did and all came back great.

Few weeks later he was back at his doctor office wanting his doctor to check him out once again. The doctor told him, I've run every test possible and I can't find a thing wrong with you.

The man told his doctor, "But doc, you've got to understand, death runs in my family, even family member I've ever had has died and I will to, you've got to help me." The doctor ask him to wait a few minutes that he would be right back. when he came back in he was carrying his Bible, he set down with this man and after a several minutes the patient left with a smile on his face saying, "Doc, thanks much, now I will never fear death again, now that I've got Jesus as my Savior."

I think there are many people in this world today with that same problem, sad to say, even many Christians. The path at the ending of this life may be very unpleasant in our crossing to that other shore, but if we have Christ as our Savior, we will not go it alone, for we have a Savior who cares about us.

Jerry that is true...its just scary hearing of these moms leaving children and husbands behind, I guess.

God does have it under control. On the scientific side though, I also find it curious how much cancer we are seeing, and my brain likes to try to figure it out. :duh

Interesting topic. I know several people who have had cancer. The ones that went the medical route are mostly dead or have problems from the treatment. I know of two that I know personally that went the natural way under the treatment of a homeopathic doctor. Through natural teas, raw veggies, juices, herbs, etc. both were cured compeletly. One was diagonosed with terminal lung cancer. After six months of his homeopathic treatments he went into a caughing fit and caughed up a tennis ball size black glob. Went back to the Doctor, and was found cancer free.

The food we eat, especially the processed and fast food is different from how they ate long ago. We do put a lot of junk in our diets. I know I drink a tea called total tea. www.totaltea.net it is a detoxifyer and it has improved how I feel. I love it.

Like anything there are good homeopatics and quack ones.

I believe longjevity of life is genetic and our lifestyles can shorten this. For example I knew a man that drank a bottle of whiskey a day and lived to be 95. My mother did not drink till age 35. She was dead from alcohol at age 50.

One interesting book I found in our Church library is called "life without cancer, the story of Vitamin B17. The author claims to have cured cancer with this vitamin and says it is a deficency that causes a lot of cancer. The USDA black listed him and put out a cinide scare because the vitamin comes from the apricot seed. It was interesting.

Lot of interesting stuff out there.

I know of several people who are alive today because they took chemo therapy and or radiations treatments. Some of them also had surgery along with the treatments, some did not.

Much depends on the type cancer it is.

Now those cancers that they have no cure for, I'm believing it might be better to forgo chemo therapy.

But when it comes to that each person has to make their own decision what they think is best for them, I support them what ever decision they make.

I've know a few who tried homeopathic, but they all died, so I would not go that route nor advise anyone to. In fact I know 3 who tried that who had treatable cancer and better than a 70% chance of survival, but they chose homeopathic and it did not work.

The wife and I have talked about this several times since her twin sister died from Mesothelioma cancer, the type caused from asbestos. There was no known cure for it, but the doctors all insisted she take treatments. Both Linda and I feel that was a bad decision, that she would have been better off to went without these treatments and we feel that last 6 months of life would have been somewhat better. seems it was warped up in chemo treatments, this sickness, when it would get better more treatments, them more sickness from the treatment.

For me, it would just depend on what type I had and the age I was at that time.

For instants, a friend, she is about 65, right now has lung cancer, they give her more than a 60% chance to beat it, she went with it, she told me if the survival rate had been under 50% she would have skipped these treatments, I believe I would have done the same with that type of cancer and her age.

We had a dear elderly church member with lung cancer, she chose not to take treatments, I supported her 100%, had complete respect for her decision. She was 76.

But as for Linda's twin, the chances for her was 0 %.

And I ought to mention what stage one is in can make a big difference in survival, Linda's twin was in stage 4. The longest anyone has survived that type of cancer is somewhat over 7 years.

Yep, i agree, a lot depends on the type, stage, etc. As for regular doctors and homeopathic doctors again, it comes to if they are good and know the business or they are quacks. I personally do think genetics has a lot to do with weather you get it or not or if you get over it or not. Its a hard decision I would wish on no one.
