The last time I spoke with my younger brother was 2007 Christmas. My mom spoke with his wife a couple of months after that, but we hadn't heard from either of them since. I had a phone number which both my mother and I tried, but it didn't work. We've been praying that God would re-connect us somehow. Well, tornadoes are frightening things, but God used the ones headed our way yesterday for something good!

When I got home last night, my husband told me to listen to the answering machine - he couldn't understand what the person said...IT WAS MY BROTHER!!!!! Even now I'm crying as I type this. He left his phone number and asked me to call - he wanted to know that I was okay. I spoke briefly with his wife, who then handed the phone to him. She had seen the path of the tornadoes and got worried about us, and mentioned it to him. So they checked on us...

I encouraged him to call my mom, because we weren't even sure if they still lived in the same place (due to some things my SIL had said to my mom).

This is my baby brother (some baby - he's 48 :icon_mrgreen: ), and it really bothered me that we had lost contact. It hurt my mother, too, indescribably. I got to share with her that he called and give her his phone #. What a great way to end the day!

Please pray now that the Lord will heal the rift that caused this (whatever it might be...I really don't know!).

Neat. I'm happy for you.

My older brother, haven't heard from him since I was in the Air Force, in 1967. He called home and talked with mother, said he would come for a visit that next weekend. My Sergeant let me off work, I came home, yet he did no show up.

In the 90's I finally met some of my kin. I found out he had been in prison. While there he got in contact with an uncle, He got out because this uncle had a job for him. He lived with and worked for him several months, He got to coming home drunk. The uncle said, straighten up or leave, he left, and never heard from since. I figure he is dead by now, probably buried in a grave without a name.

Some people seem bent towards doing that which is wrong in the sight of God. He was suppose to have been saved as a young boy, yet he never showed it after growing up.
