Hello Online Baptist Members,

I am glad to be on this forum. I hope to learn more about and continue to walk in my faith. I am from Philadelphia, PA, but now reside in NC, Eastern part of the state for the moment. I am a undergraduate student who attends American Military University, a Regionally Accredited University located in W. Va. (Online) My major is English Literature, but have had a strong desire to move to, once the degree is complete, Biblical studies, namely the Holy Bible. I would like to teach in an IFB school or University or open an educational store-front for such. I have been divorced, so preaching or doing anything in the church is out of the question, so hopefully God can make use of me in other ways.

Thank you for having me :)

Oh, by the way I am a former Marine of 12 years and current Army Reserve Drill Sergeant.

I thought at first you were commuting to WV - are you studying online or do you drive to classes?

My dad was born in Clarksburg. We lived there for a few years. Beautiful state!

Well, as a native mountainside North Carolinian, I guess I can welcome a flatlander. :icon_mrgreen: I was stationed at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard for a couple of years.

Really? I lived about 20 mins from the Naval Ship yard, South Philly to be exact.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Chev1958.

Is it pretty in North Carolina right now? Do you have a lot of trees turning colors for autumn? We don't really have that here in Texas. It'll be 80 degrees right up until the first hard freeze, then all the trees go bare (it seems) overnight. We don't have the blaze of fall color like some states enjoy.
