I have unsuccessfully been able to locate a chronological, Books of the Bible study chart for quite some time. Specifically, what I'm looking for is something that shows the Books of the Bible (particularly the OT) in a visual way in the order (as in the overlaps and such) in which the events of the Bible occurred; not the order in which they were authored. There are many LONG pages of descriptions and such that are written out in paragraph form, but I'm looking for something a little more kid friendly and straight forward......more of a chart type format. Anyone know of where I can find such a thing? I'm hoping for free, but at this point, I'm just hoping to find anything. So, far, the only thing I've come close to is a Catholic chart with all of those "other" books added in, and I'm not sure if it is even accurate. Help??

Would the chart you're referencing be the Great Adventures chart? I know that's a Catholic one. What about this one:

http://bibletimeline.net/

It also contains world history, which is a great tool for really learning what was going on all over during Bible times. It doesn't look greatly kid friendly at first blush, but it does look like you could use it in small increments so they could understand.

Here's another one - don't know the publishers of either of these. http://www.deepershopping.com/item/rose-publishing/chart-bible-time-line-wall-laminated/18122.html

This one sounds fascinating: http://www.mardel.com/store/item.aspx?ItemId=364955

Do you know much about the "Great Adventures chart"? As in, how accurate it might be? (I found a free, more simple one on-line, but it isn't quite what I was looking for) Also, does anyone have any experience with any of the above charts by chance? It would be a great help before making a purchase! :)

This is the product summary for Great Adventures:
The Great Adventure Kids Bible Timeline Chart is a color-coded accordion-style folding chart that details the 12 periods of Bible history. With its vibrant colors and kid-friendly illustrations, the Kids Bible Timeline Chart shows children the chronology of the Bible in a way they're sure to remember. This double-sided resource has on the back important maps, prayers, an explanation of the six historical covenants between God and man, and "How You Fit into the Story," a summary of the sacraments of initiation and life in Christ.
I would be kinda leery of this one, I think.

Lovely. The 1st link to the Bible timeline is real neat to look at, but I know that at least at one time their chart included Mormon references. I e-mailed the company yesterday to inquire about this and see if it is fixed, but they have not replied as of yet. Anyone know more about the last two links?

i remember there being a chart called the Panoramic Bible, it was an oversized booklet, like office size paper sideways. it was several pages, but if i recall was very accurate.
