In all honesty, I find that stuff messed up. If you can't watch a movie/show without getting an "edited" version or something, you shouldn't watch it. They people making this stuff still getting money, which they'll prOBably use to make more perverted stuff...

Naw...they don't get my money. The only time I buy a DVD is when it has been used and is cheap. I have bought movies for two dollars that way.

Most of my family (including us) have one similar to what your link depicts, just a different brand. We were all given one as a gift. Our family chose not to hook it up. However, it is used at the other's homes. Basically, theirs blots out words and puts up alternate words on the screen. So, you do know that something untoward was said. You also can guess what it is. However, the one we have is older and was not able to block out visual things.

For our family, we felt that using that was opening a door to watch shows with foul language. For me, foul language is not always the only detrimental aspect of a show or DVD. If you already watch movies that include God's name in vain or cursing, you may find this helpful. For us, we just did not find it to be a good choice. Shows with cursing often have a "culture" of sinfulness, if you will, that we don't want to cultivate in ourselves or our kids. However, my family (sibs and their spouses etc) found it to be helpful. It is the kind of thing you need to just determine based upon your own circumstances. We also found that live shows (football particularly) were unaffected by the machine, so where it would have been useful (as some of the commercials and announcers can be quite colorful) it was ineffective. This machine may be better.

Yes, most of Hollywood's movies include sins against God. How can we feel entertained by watching sins against God being glorified, whether it be on the big screen or in our living room? In fact, Hollywood's films is one of old Satan's best tools, it has sent millions to hell.

We are suppose to be dead to this world with Christ then why would we allow the such an evil influence temp us?

John R. Rice wrote a book on this subject way back in 1939 that is still a very good book to read, "What Is Wrong with the Movies?" And they are much worse now than what they were in those days.

That look neat although I think some movie producer don't like their movies edited. I heard they took "made for TV" edited their movies to court. I don't know if they won or not. Or if it is true. So if it is true, don't be surprised that some movies were not edited. Then again, they could talking about the movie itself and not the DVD player.

I think it would be better to stick with movies that you know is clean. More money for them to make more clean movies.
