Please pray for my Dad. He's not felt good all day. He's been feeling pressure in his chest and pain in his right arm (he has a bad heart and has had heart attacks). He's too stuborn to call his heart doctor or go to hospital. He's not saved but he won't listen to me in this area.

My sister is going to check on him before bedtime (she lives next door to him) and I told him I'll go with him in the morning for his monthly blood checkup.

Thank you for your prayers. Dad is feeling just slightly better today than yesterday. He went for his schedualed bloodwork today but he still won't call his heart doctor or go to the hospital to be checked out.

Mom passed away in 2002 and since then anytime Dad has been feeling poorly he's been ready to die. He doesn't feel like fighting death and I think he thinks somehow he can see Mom again after he dies and he wants to be sure he dies at home so badly that he doesn't want to risk being in a hospital if he thinks he might be close to death.

My main prayer is that the Holy Ghost will send that someone to him whom the Holy Ghost can use to bring him to Christ before he passes away.

Was your mother saved Brother John?

I'm not sure. I certainly hope so. She did believe in Christ, prayed to Him for salvation, was baptized and had a change in her life for a time. Then she went back to like before and then there were ups and downs. Hopefully she was truly saved.

My Dad isn't saved, although he got baptized when Mom did (as did my sister) and I fear that both my Dad and sister put way too much stock in having been baptized. My Dad isn't open to the Gospel, as least by me or anyone I know. I pray the Holy Ghost will send that someone to my Dad which He can use to reach him with the Gospel.

UPDATE: My Dad is doing better now. Still not near what is normal for him but he seems to be getting better. Thank you so much for your prayers. He looked and felt so bad the other day/night that neither my sister (who is an EMT) nor myself would have be suprised had he not awoke in the morning. Frightening, I spent much of that night in fervent prayer and when I would doze off as soon as I awoke a few minutes later I would go right back into prayer until in the late/early morning hours when I finally felt a peace and then slept for an hour or two before getting up. Again, thank you all for your prayers!
