I got laid off today from my jOB. God is still in control, now that I don't have a jOB I am hoping to talk my parents into letting me go to school in the Spring.

Thanks, I just want to do something for the Lord, I am going to try to do some odd jOBs so I can save to go back to school.

Well, hopefully I will be able to get the finances together.

Just some thoughts.

Things don't always work out the way we want them, nor the way we expect them to, perhaps that is God working things out for our good, I firmly believe that at times He does intervene, sometimes I suppose its to help us, something its for us to help someone else.

I remember well the Sunday afternoon I met Linda. I did not have to leave until very late Sunday evening to go back to the Air Force base. I was in town and was fixing to go on back out to my parents house. I met a good friend driving down main street who I had not seen in a long while. We stopped and were visiting one another. He said, "Let ride over to Delight to see what's going on over there." We did, I met Linda, who I married that following May.

The last friend I spoke to in Nashville before going to Guam was this same person, Jimmy Dale Lawrence. Linda and I had left my parents house to go back to my Air Force base for I was leaving for Guam the next day. I told Linda as we went through town lets made one last trip down main street, we did, and we met Jimmy. We stopped on side of main street and talked for prOBably an hour, maybe 2 hours with him. Little did I know that would be the last time I would ever see him. The next month while at Guam I get a letter from Linda telling me my good friend Jimmy Dale had been killed in a car wreck.

It was because of him that Linda and I met. Yes, I've seen many times in my 63 years where God has intervened in many different ways. I firmly believe He did that day when Jimmy said lets drive over to Delight, and again the last time we got to speak with one another.

When you get 63 I figure you to will be able to look back and see where God has intervened in your life, maybe this is one of them.

Prayers.
