Would love to hear some thoughts from others. When Jesus rose from the tomb and Mary went to touch him, Jesus said "touch me not", he hadn't ascending unto the father. That evening, appearing before the disciples, Thomas doubted and Jesus told him to touch him, so he'd know it was really him. Had Jesus already went and sprinkled his blood on the mercy seat and then came back in that same day? Thoughts and references would be appreciated.

In a sermon a few years back I brought out this point, Where is God at, but for the best of me, I can't recall the verses, nor the title of my sermon. If I could only remember the title of my sermon I could go to it and give you some thoughts on this.

Maybe at a time I'm not trying I will remember, seems when I really try to recall something my brain gets blocked. But there be verses that point this out to us.

I've read books and heard sermons and many reflect that we'll be like Jesus, in our glorified body. When we pass from this life into next, I've heard commentaries, saying, that we could think about being somewhere and just in an instant be there. I don't have know Idea what heaven will be like, but I've got loved ones already there and I know it's better than anything they've ever experience here on earth. The Bible says, that eye hasn't seen, nor ear heard what God has in store for us. I know that Paul said to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I can't answer the question on how far heaven is away, but according to that verse, "it ain't far"......a twinkle of and eye and we're there. Talk about any roller coaster ride here, just won't even compare. I'm needing some scripture, you scholars help me out.

Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Php 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Yes, our body in heaven shall be fashioned like unto Jesus body after His death and resurrection. We have a small preview with Lazarus, he is in comfort, but yet he has not experienced the true glory of heaven, I don't think any one will experience that until after the judgment of the saved.

I hear Christians say,"Brother & or Sister So & So has gone on to their rewards," I've heard preaches say this at funerals, that is not quite true, rewards will not be receive until the judgment, but there is no doubt those who have died in Christ are in a place of comfort.

Isn't it great that the best is yet to come for those who have Christ as their Savior?

Well, Jesus' glorified body passed through closed doors so apparently glorified bodies are not subject to Earth's scientific laws. My belief is that Jesus was able to travel at the speed of thought and we will be able to also when we are like Him.

I think you're absolutely right, Jess.

Jesus had to ascended to the Father after speaking to Mary and before speaking to Thomas. He wouldn't tell Mary not to touch and then tell Thomas to touch unless He had done as He said He would do.

Remember when He met the disiples on the road to Emmaus? He walked with them, talked with them, went home to break bread with them. But as soon as He blessed it, He was gone. Poof. Passing through material doors, disappearing...to God the Son, ascending to Heaven in a twinkling (and back!) would be no mean feat!!
