Just for something fun to do - challenging (to make you think) and interesting. Jess and I had a thread like this (on sevens in Revelation) going several years back, but I wanted to start something fresh. I will also be starting a couple of similar threads, to give us a little variety, in case you don't have much to input on one of them, you can still give your input to each thread as you think of something to add. What sevens can you find in the New Testament Epistles? It could be where the Bible mentions that there was seven of a particular thing, a multiple of seven, a word/idea/phrase repeated seven times, seven of a type of thing, etc. You can glean this from your …

A friend was lecturing in Latin America. He was going to use a translator, but to identify with his audience, he wanted to begin his talk by saying in Spanish, "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen." He arrived at the auditorium a little early and realized he did not know the Spanish words for ladies and gentlemen. Being rather resourceful, he went to the part of the building where the restrooms were, looked at the signs on the two doors, and memorized those two words. When the audience arrived and he was introduced, he stood up and said in Spanish, "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen." The audience was shocked. He didn't know whether he had offended them or perhaps they…

You remember reading "Goosebumps" You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, wax off" You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school. You danced to "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls, Females: had a new motto, Males: got a whole lot gay-er. (so tell me what you want, what you really really want.) HELLO....HOT WHEELS!!!!! I suppose my hobby is writing devotions and poetry as well as various articles, but one thing I also like to do is make puzzles that are Bible oriented. I have over 25 of them now, all original, so there is not problem with copying them. They are great for Sunday School extras; for bus kids, to get them familiar with their Bibles, and for any other club or fellowship. We even have used them at a family camp we had, if the weather was not too good (which is quite often around here!). Many of them began with a club I started for the "juniors" at our church--it became known as the "Whiz Kids" club. they had little badges (black background with white letters for the b…

Maybe someone would like to beat my score on a Bible quiz site I found. It's a KJV only site so should be no issues. Appears to be hundreds of quizzes which would drive us all to further Bible knowledge and provide some fun at the same time. Here is the link to the blank quiz I took: http://quiz.christiansunite.com/Fill_in ... erbs.shtml I only got 60% :ooops :sad so someone should be able to beat that score. Here is the link to the site: http://quiz.christiansunite.com/
