Rep. Ron Paul, the iconic libertarian congressman from Texas, has delivered what will most likely be his final address to Congress. In a sprawling, 52-minute speech to the House chamber, Paul lambasted U.S. government, politicians and special interests, declaring that the U.S. people must return to virtue before the government allows them to be free, and that the Constitution has failed to limit the scope of an authoritarian bureaucracy. "Our Constitution, which was intended to limit government power and abuse, has failed," Paul said. "The Founders warned that a free society depends on a virtuous and moral people. The current crisis reflects that their concerns were j…

BEWARE: Beck uses an ugly word. Glenn Beck on Romney loss: “sometimes God really sucks” by Joel McDurmon on Nov 9, 2012 The Blaze reports Glenn Beck’s reaction to the presidential loss by fellow-Mormon Mitt Romney: “Man, sometimes God really sucks. . . . I got up yesterday at 3:00 in the morning and I knew. And I couldn’t sleep and I started to say my prayers and I got up and kneeled down by the edge of my bed and I knew that‑‑-or I suspected that my mind’s not God’s mind, and the peace and the comfort that he had given me and so many of my friends was not about an election. God’s about a bigger picture than an election or a candidate. God is about the free…

Is the GOP Headed for the Boneyard? By Patrick J. Buchanan Friday - November 8, 2012 After its second defeat at the hands of Barack Obama, under whom unemployment has never been lower than the day George W. Bush left office, the Republican Party has at last awakened to its existential crisis. Eighteen states have voted Democratic in six straight elections. Among the six are four of our most populous: New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois and California. And Obama has now won two of the three remaining mega-states, Ohio and Florida, twice. Only Texas remains secure--for now. At the presidential level, the Republican Party is at death's door. Yet one already sees the …

A quote I've place in this Sunday's bulletin, & we should all be this way, yet I fear many times we ae not. Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Christians are like the flowers in a garden that have that have each of the dew of Heaven, which being shaken with the wind, they let fall at each other’s roots whereby they are jointly nourished and become nourishes of each other.

What would happen in a president election if after the supposed loser makes a concession speech yet the vote count happens to change in a state or two, enough to make the loser the winner, would they declare a new winner? It seems to me they would have to, but our government has some strange ways. Do you know if this has this ever happened? What got me to thinking about this a site I went to the difference between Mr. Obama & Mr. Romney in Florida was 64,959 votes with total of 8,060.844 votes cast. That's not much of a difference. 49.17% Mr. Romney 49.97% Mr. Obama

I had to make a run to town on the way home I was listening to a Christians talk show, a called stated, "I am completely discouraged with the election going the way it did, there is no hope for us, I've given up all hope." Ps 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. Ps 118:9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes. I can't help but wonder how many place their hope in politics, political system, in a mere man, how many of our brothers & sisters are waiting for a messiah to come along so they can elect him, thinking He will protect them from evil rulers, making everyone obey God's laws? Making this a solid …

I heard on the radio this morning that after a meeting between Romney and Billy Graham, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association website has removed their statement which had declared Mormonism a cult. Not a big surprise coming from Billy, but just as Jerry has pointed out many times, Christians endorsing a Mormon for president is giving more acceptance and respectability to Mormonism. Christian "leaders" suddenly declaring that a man's faith/religion isn't important when it comes to leadership and politics in America (after saying just the oppositve for the past several decades) has prompted many fence sitters o the issue, as well as many others, to move on to accepti…

The Coming Age of Austerity By Patrick J. Buchanan Tuesday - November 6, 2012 "Are the good times really over for good?" asked Merle Haggard in his 1982 lament. Then, the good times weren't over. In fact, they were coming back, with the Reagan recovery, the renewal of the American spirit and the end of a Cold War that had consumed so much of our lives. Yet whoever wins today, it is hard to be sanguine about the future. The demographic and economic realities do not permit it. Consider. Between 1946 and 1964, 79 million babies were born -- the largest, best-educated and most successful generation in our history. Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, both born in 1946…

I paused in prayer this morning at the throne of grace with my Savior’s arms about my shoulders; the following verse came to me: Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Peace came over me as I continued in prayer with praise, thanks, and petitions. Then in my daily devotional reading, I read: Romans 5. Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Romans 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the gl…

November 5 Morning “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.” - Isa_54:17 This day is notable in English history for two great deliverances wrought by God for us. On this day the plot of the Papists to destroy our Houses of Parliament was discovered, 1605. “While for our princes they prepare In caverns deep a burning snare, He shot from heaven a piercing ray, And the dark treachery brought to day.” And secondly-to-day is the anniversary of the landing of King William III, at Torbay, by which the hope of Popish ascendancy was quashed, and religious liberty was secured, 1688. This day ought to be celebrated, not by the saturnalia of striplings, bu…

Art Thou A Roman-Are You An American? 1 2 3

Acts 22:27 Then the chief captain came, and said unto him, Tell me, art thou a Roman? He said, Yea. There is no doubt that Paul, a Christian, was foremost a citizen of heaven? Yet, when pressed upon by the people of the nation, he had no reservation declaring he was also a citizen of the world. He had no shame for using the ungodly of this world to gain justice within it. Acts 25:11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar. When should we as Christians participate in and make use of the established gove…

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chron. 7:14) “If My People…” The most unpredictable word in this verse is the word “if”. The Lord allows us to decide. He does not impose, nor force Himself upon anyone. The plea is to our conscience and our character; “if” my people, the select group that are called by His name. This includes the adopted, as well as the natural born. If God’s people would hearken unto Him, what a glorious place this world would be, a virtual Heaven on earth. Tha…

WHOOPIE! Halloween is back! The only day of the year that we can teach the kids that witches are amusing! And we get to celebrate death and gore, and maiming of human beings! Wow. Everyone gets to dress up like devils, and ghosts, and zombies, and run the streets begging for candy. It is the only day we can hang a scarecrow from a tree in our yards, and not go to jail for it. Isn't it great that we get to scare the little ones? I can't wait until they grow a little and they can scare someone else! Haaa! Saw a skeleton dancing in the air, he was hung by the neck until dead...uh, well he was dancing away when the wind blew, cool huh? What a wonderful holiday…

A WORD ABOUT THE ELECTIONS By Chuck Baldwin November 1, 2012 NewsWithViews.com With the 2012 Presidential election just a few days away, it is almost superfluous for me to engage in any kind of in depth discussion, as most people cannot, for the life of them, get past the political theater that is currently crescendoing to a climax. Therefore, I will simply provide readers with a few passing thoughts regarding the elections next week. I think Mitt Romney will somewhat comfortably win the Presidential election. This will cause "conservatives," Christians, and most Republicans to go into a state of deep hibernation, which will allow Romney to wreak havoc upon the Co…

JUSTIFYING THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS IS AN ABOMINATION by Tona Monroe October 30, 2012 NewsWithViews.com Many evangelicals are self-professing conservatives who routinely vote Republican. Sure, the Republican Party has the rich old white guys with deep pockets who finance campaigns, but without evangelical voters, the Republican Party would go the way of the Whigs. Unfortunately, many evangelicals compromise and vote for the Republican regardless of how bad the nominee is. The Bible says these compromising conservative evangelicals are an abomination to the Lord. “He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to t…

David Cloud On Target? 1 2

Is David Cloud on target in his comments on Obama? Note: David Cloud has given no favorable comments on Mitt Romney that I know of, he has identified Mormonism as a cult and rightfully so. He has exposed the ecumenical-evangelicals crowd for saying Mormonism is a Christian religion.

Have any of you ever heard this hymn? The chorus surely is 100% right! What You Are If you have named the name of Jesus, If you're known as one of His; Remember that the world is watching To see how your vict'ry is. Walk worthy of you holy calling, Bring praise to His blessed name, Lest He, thro' you should be dishonored, And your deeds should bring Him shame. Your life may be a life of vict'ry, If yielded to Him alone; Your work the Master said shall prove you, And by it you shall be known. Chorus: What you are speaks so loud that the world can't hear what you say; They're looking at your walk, not list'ning to your talk, They're judging from your …
