Wow. I came across this in my devotional readings. These words really moved me and challenged me. God is present everywhere, and in every thing. We only need to open our eyes and be aware that his great Love surrounds us. "You will find the living God in the pages of the Bible. You will find him also just exactly where you are. When Jesus knew that he would not have much longer with his disciples he knew that they were sad at heart and he said to them: "It is for your own good that I am going because unless I go, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I do go, I will send him to you . . . I still have many things to say to you, but they would be too much for …

See how I avoided making one side right and the other wrong! O.K. so the question... Was The United States born out of oppression or rebellion? Edit to add... Do the words of Abe Lincoln have any bearing? "conceived in liberty"

White Robes 1 2

Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; Just learned that "white robes" were worn during holidays in the Jewish culture; the Romans wore them in their forum discussions as "office holders" or signs of authority. What a blessing for us to be clothed in white robes in the presence of our Lord. Now, and at the Tabernacle in the wilderness (White linen fence), they seemed to represent righteousness, reflecting the righteousness of Christ in us, at least the color white; i…

I went to the VA Hospital to get my ears checked before going to a ENT doctor later this month. I've had tinnitus for many years, they've been ringing so long I don't remember when it started, lately it seems louder than ever. I wanted to get my ears checked out to see if there is any problem as well how much hearing loss I've got. I've heard it said that sometimes hearing aids helps some people with tinnitus. I'm wondering if this comes from those who sell hearing aids with hope of selling even more hearing aids. I've read several post in a forum on hearing aids & most seem to have no help with their tinnitus after spending a bundle of money. The VA will furnis…

It's one thing for divorced Church member to go to te court house to get married but for a pastor of a Church that is held in high regard to marry 2 of his divorced members is awful. The job of a pastor is to push his members to be holy and righteous not push them into lifelong sin and then parade around in front of everyone like they are serving God. Just my thought...

The Block Head 1 2

You're a block head Charlie Brown. All know the funny skits from the cartoons and his missing the football every time. Never sincere enough for the great pumpkin to visit him. Probably a message in there ;-D Schultz is dead now but his work lives on. His daughter still carries on as the mantle fell to her but she uses the cartoonist to do other things as well. She's Meredith Hodges and is a mule trainer. It may be of interest to some here. She owns lucky three ranch (google search if interested). I do the cowboy and mountain man thing with buckskins and black powder guns. One man think the great pumpkin akin to Santa. To our international readers/members: …

Billboards all over town say "We care". Isn't it amazing how many companies and businesses care about us...as long as we can afford them to? people actually think that you can buy compassion, and unfortunately some Christian seem to think so too. The "What's in it for me" attitude motivates many to work for the Lord--take away the perks, and it's goodbye Jesus. Still, I am befuddled by all the lawyers and organization that say they care, and if you pay them, they'll help you. I like what the lord said in 1 Peter 5:7: "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." Only Jesus really cares. the salvation Army is now privately owned (or so I hear), and…

Who's Afraid of the Fiscal Cliff? By Patrick J. Buchanan Tuesday - November 27, 2012 Were the average Republican asked for a succinct statement of his views on taxation, he or she might respond thus: "U.S. tax rates are too high for the world we must compete in. The tax burden -- federal, state, local, together -- is too heavy. We need to cut tax rates to free up our private and productive sector and pull this economy out of the ditch." This core conviction holds the party together. Yet today the leadership is about to abandon this conviction to sign on to higher tax rates or revenues, while the economy is nearing stall speed. Yet, two years ago, President Obama hi…

In today's news seems weather change is weird. Is this normal; or created? A little along for the past 20 yrs I've read articles on the subject. The USA started their weather program in 1947 and UK followed in 1951. Then came star wars in the '80's and USA's doomsday machine from Reagan's failed star wars. Why anyone wants a doomsday machine is more like Peter Sellers in Dr. Strangelove. Nevertheless; we have one. Ironically, back in the days of Vietnam we were brought before the UN (1978) and required to sign a treaty to stop using weather for war..... the Vietnam monsoon season didn't exist - we created it. As time goes by you find it harder to find information…

Not set in stone; but one that could be correct - maybe. Everyone knows the Catholics have always had it wrong - period; Jan 6th or DEC 25th.. Nothing new. DEC 25th is for the pagan christ Tammuz. All know this. And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. Luke 2:1-3 (KJV) Most know Roman tax time was Sept 2nd. and Jesus was born just after that. The clincher is at the end. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea,…

A topic I've ponder but never discuss. Was Osama Bin Laden killed in 2007? What was Bhutto killed? This Pakistani political leader was murdered by intelligence agency supported terrorists after she admitted Bin Laden was dead When Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan to take a stand for democratic government, 3 million Pakistanis greeted her at the airport. Now she is dead. (The date: 27 December 2007.) At the 6:15 mark in this video, Benazir Bhutto refers in a matter-of-fact manner to "the man who killed Osama bin Laden." If this was a misstatement, she did not correct herself, nor did the interviewer call attention to it. Before she was murdered, the…

1 Peter 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, 1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1 Peter 2:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. 1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. I'm thankful to God for his grace to me and to be able to share it with family ,friends, and those who are lost.

Before 12:00 noon Linda had left & gone to town. I was setting in my recliner feeling a sneezing attack coming on, a tickling feeling in my nose. I got up & went to the bathroom to get some tissue to blow my nose. I remember entering the bathroom door turning on the light, but the next thing I remember I was standing up with blood dripping on the floor turned towards the door wondering what happened. I turned my head to the left to look in the mirror & saw blood running down my forehead from a slight gash above my left eye falling on the floor. After this took place I did not want to call my wife fearing she would get over excited & drive to fast coming …

GOP leaders already jockeying for 2016 LAS VEGAS (AP) — Louisiana's Bobby Jindal is urging the Republican Party to rethink its pitch to voters. Bob McDonnell of Virginia says Republicans should look to outsiders to fix partisan gridlock in Washington. Their fellow governor, Wisconsin's Scott Walker, says the next GOP leader must do a better job explaining why the party's policies will help ordinary Americans. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is holding court with admirers — and ignoring reporters as he ducks into nominally private meetings. And Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida is packing his bags for a very public trip to Iowa. Yes, the jockeying for 2016 has already begun. …

Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Leonid meteor shower - the peak comes in the hours before dawn on Saturday. However, you may be able to see a lot of this display of God’s handiwork Friday evening late. They'll appear to come from the constellation of Leo the Lion, south of the Big Dipper, though they can appear anywhere in the night sky. Most of us are familiar with the Big Dipper so I'll use it as a reference for where to look. Identify the two pointer stars of the Big Dipper – that is, the two outer stars in the Big Dipper’s bowl. An imaginary line drawn between these stars points in one direction toward P…

How The New Religious Right Assisted in the Re-Election of President Obama And Are Hastening God's Judgment of America Opinion and commentary by Brannon Howse Click here to order Brannon's new hardcover book Religious Trojan Horse (488 pages) or to download the Ebook. Click here to join the more than 14,000 on Brannon's Facebook page Note: I call this new generation of pro-family leaders the "New Religious Right" because I do not believe many of the now deceased leaders of the Religious Right from the 1970s, such as Dr. D. James Kennedy and Dr. Adrian Rogers, would agree with the theological and doctrinal compromises made by many of today's NRR leaders. Ple…

Why do you go to church? *because you feel it is commanded? *because you enjoy the fellowship? *because you want to grow in the Lord? *to be "fed" by the Word? *because it's a good testimony for you?

Genesis 27 And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I. 2 And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death: 3 Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; 4 And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. Early last Saturday, my youngest son put on his cammos, took his bow and arrows, climbed an oak tree at the corner of our property and arrowed a nice fat do…

This is from "Morning and Evening", I thought it needed to be read by all of us. November 14 Morning “I will cut off them that worship and that swear by the Lord, and that swear by Malcham.” - Zep_1:5 Such persons thought themselves safe because they were with both parties: they went with the followers of Jehovah, and bowed at the same time to Malcham. But duplicity is abominable with God, and hypocrisy his soul hateth. The idolater who distinctly gives himself to his false god, has one sin less than he who brings his polluted and detestable sacrifice unto the temple of the Lord, while his heart is with the world and the sins thereof. To hold with the hare and ru…
