There has been a new law which passed in my country saying that the new identity cards will contain a chip! Everyone is required to have them once these normal ones we have will expire. Are these causes for concerns? I hear chips and I'm feeling tons of worry. I feel like everything gets to have this. Our new issued passport also contain chip. What is there to do? I assume in the US it's the same? the use of chip-identity card required? or chip as a new means in various identification cards including passports? I need a believer's perspective, please There's no way to refuse to have these chips in cards, I would need to have a valid identity card…

While I would word this welcome letter differently, I do think some of our churches should be more welcoming of others. While our church welcomes all, we do not change our preaching based on who is there. The Word of God will make some feel uncomfortable because of their lifestyle, but welcomed because they are loved. The Word of God changes lives. We extend a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, gay, filthy rich, dirt poor, yo no habla Ingles. We extend a special welcome to those who are crying new-borns, skinny as a rail or could afford to lose a few pounds. We welcome you if you can sing like Andrea Bocelli or like our pastor who…

It's no doubt that mobile is the future. Stats on Online Baptist shows that our users are now evenly divided in between desktop and mobile. If you read the subject line, you may be wondering, what in the world is PWA? In short it stands for Progressive Web App. Pretty much Progressive web applications are web applications that load like regular web pages or websites but can offer the user functionality such as working offline, push notifications, and device hardware access traditionally available only to native applications. Still reading this? Good. What this means is simply that we have partially enabled PWA on this website. Pretty much what you can do right now is…

Joshua 24:2 And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods. Joshua 24:3 And I took your father Abraham from the other side of the flood, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac. Joshua 24:14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to s…

Hello Family of God, Brackets and ALL CAPS are used for [EMPHASIS]. Please excuse my grammatical inaccuracies and errors in punctuation; as I am a fallen creature who is capable of making mistakes here on Earth. Though some of my words may seem harsh, it is never my intention to verbally harm others in a negative manner; but rather it is to stir wayward Christians to be faithful slaves of the LORD, and to urge the unrepentant who may think that they are saved but are not; that they may surrender their hearts over to the Lord God so that they may be saved -- because tomorrow is never promised to anyone (cf. Ps. 90:12; Prov. 27:1; Rom. 13:11; 2 Cor. 6:1-2; Eph. 5:15-17…

Greetings and thanks for reading this, i have no idea how one fasts as a Baptist Christian. Is it like not eating nor drinking anything at all, as the Muslims do from dawn to dusk? Or has it got nothing to do with food and drink and it's a spiritual thing? Thank you for your kind replies and time. Stay awesome, Totoo

Hello Family of God, "[COME NOW], and [LET US REASON TOGETHER], saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." (Isaiah 1:18) This message will be divided into sections because of the length of it. "For this cause [I BOW MY KNEES] unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom [THE WHOLE FAMILY IN HEAVEN AND EARTH IS NAMED], That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to [BE STRENGTHENED WITH MIGHT BY HIS SPIRIT IN THE INNER MAN]; That Christ may [DWELL IN YOUR HEARTS] by faith; that ye, being [ROOTED] and [GROUNDED] in love, May be …

We just performed an update to the software that we are using. One of the issues that we will be fixing soon is the profile pictures that have been reset to the default picture. You can either change/update your profile picture yourself, or wait until the next update. I apologize about the inconvenience.

I currently enabled a new feature when posting....gifs. While I have this set to the safest rating level allowed there is a chance there is something that may sneak through. I have no control over what type of gifs get are listed, I can only choose a rating level. If this becomes a problem I will just remove the feature to keep everything safe. If you don't know what a gif is.......

I am a Pastor of a very small flock of believers in a very small town in Western NC (Old Fort, NC). The building we have chosen to assemble in is named Brookside Missionary Baptist Church. The building was a school in the mid 1800's. There has not been an accurate historical record kept over the years. We as a congregation are not pedigreed as connected to any church "plant". Through our history we have been like minded people who have come together to worship the Lord Jesus Christ the best way we can through His Word. My concern is that "Independent Baptist Churches" would not consider our congregation as part of The Church that Jesus built/is building because we ca…

I know this is rich coming from me but here goes anyway...… (In other words, I am talking to myself as well!) How about we extend each other a bit of grace every now and then? What I mean is that, especially in the IB section, we all know roughly what we mean - none of the regulars here are going to disagree with the basics of salvation for instance, but sometimes we might say something like "I was saved when I put my trust in Jesus" - and yes that is not technically and theologically correct, but we know we mean when we say such things. There are absolutely times when the technicalities need to be discussed or pointed out, but when the discussion is a casu…

I recently spoke to a kind hearted gentleman who simply wants to help the homeless, the fatherless, and the helpless in my community. He came across a "ministry" of Joyce Meyers, called Hand of Hope, and decided that it sounded just like what he wanted to be involved in. Turns out that if he pays them $1000, they will make up to a million dollars available to him to start a Hand of Hope supported ministry to the homeless. So he stumped up $1000 to Joyce Meyers, and is now waiting for the next step...…... If this came in a letter from Nigeria, hardly anyone would give it a second look, because it would obviously be a scam, but Joyce Meyers name on it, a…

Greetings all, As i am reading through the Bible, many questions pop up in my humble mind and here's one: Why are there any gentiles when after the 'Flood' all humankind supposedly descends from Noah and then Abraham? As it seems to me, reading the Bible, all people on the Earth are one family or have i missed something? Thank you for your time and consideration, Totoo

Since my arrival here, i have been able to find more answers and although i am full of questions and doubts, i know and believe that the answers are coming. Thank you all and may the Lord bless your hearts Jeremiah 29:13: 'And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.' Greetings all, Hope you have had a great and joyous time and started the new year in a God pleasing manner with the Love for God the Father, The Son and Holy Spirit. i had posted a question under another topic which has evolved beautifully but then i realised the replies i have been receiving may have little to do with the topic or question at the top, so i thought it might be a good idea to start a new topic with Salvation in mind so if someone like me with suchlike questions and ambiguities in mind come by could reach the answers as i have been lucky to reach. Dear BBB, Thanks a lot for your kind reply. …

From Western Australia, where it will be the New Year in about another hour and a half, I would like to wish you all a God honouring and biblically "successful" year to come. 1Co_10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Jos_1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Greetings, i am a newbie and i've been told that the Baptists are the best and that's why i am here. i have been searching the internet, since there aren't any churches i could attend around me, and i've been able to find this website here and i have also been able to watch a few sermons by some Baptist pastors / preachers. What strikes me most is that, although i have watched only a few sermons, i hope it's not the case with all of them, but anyhow, what strikes me is that the pastor talking is saying something about the Bible and then jumps at this or that church or other pastor where and who do something not to his liking. Is this how Christians sh…

Greetings ? I have been going through the forums and reading very interesting stuff and learning as much as i can understand. However, i came across this reference to the Holy Bible Matthew 24:42, 'Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.' and as a newbie i really have no idea how to prepare myself for His coming. So, how do you prepare yourself? Thanks for your kind attention and time. Stay aware

I was wondering: What is the significance of the linage of Jesus Christ, when we have already accepted him as the Son of God? Is it merely as a sign to fulfil the prophecy or is there much more there to learn? Thank you for your time and attention. Totoosart
