Why I left the CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN MUSIC MOVEMENT by Dan Lucarini Confessions Of A Former Worship Leader Evangelical Press 2002 I?m a KJB preferred Bible reader and user so; the insertion of another version for scriptural quotation was the only issue I had. The background information and personal testimony were sufficient to set the author?s authority to handle this discussion. Dan is able to carefully illustrate the effects of ?neo-worship music? on the pillars of our local churches; saints, who we need to observe, standing on the promises of God. You don't incorporate to alienate. Details are given of the arguments used in support of Rock/CCM or rock influ…

A NEW GLOBAL CURRENCY By Paul Proctor March 26, 2009 NewsWithViews.com It was reported recently that two of the world?s superpowers, Russia and China, have called for a new global currency. I believe they?re doing this because they know that the U.S. is printing huge amounts of dollars right now to pay on its own massive debts ? debts that other countries, like China, have been financing for years by purchasing U.S. Treasury Bonds. They understand something that most Americans do not ? that the more paper money you print, the less it?s worth ? and right now, we?re printing it as fast as we can. We owe China alone over a trillion dollars. And, that?s just one of ma…

Get Set for a 15-Year Depression by Bill Bonner Our old friend Congressman Ron Paul says we?re headed into a 15-year depression. He?s probably right. In the old days, ?panics? and ?depressions? ended fairly quickly?at least unemployment tended to be short-term. There were no elaborate social welfare systems then. No unemployment compensation. No food stamps or ?independence? cards. People had to make do. So, when a depression hit, wages fell quickly and people got back to work. They earned less, but the whole economy would adjust, with lower prices for everything. There were no bailouts and no stimulus plans, either. Mistakes were corrected relatively quickly. B…

INCOME TAX: WHY WE HAVE IT by Alan Stang March 26, 2009 NewsWithViews.com Tote that barge, lift that bale, and make sure you pay on time. April 15th approaches and my guess is that only a relative handful of Americans knows why we have the income tax. With rare exceptions, they will exclaim that we must have the income tax to ?pay the expenses of the government.? Of course the truth is exactly the opposite. The income tax has nothing to do with paying the expenses of the government. First an obvious fact, something you already know. When was the country created? Pick a date. Many would pick July 4th, 1776, when the Continental Congress adopted the nation?s birth…

Boozman Strengthens Second Amendment Rights Carry across state borders Washington, Mar 19 - U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) today introduced legislation that allows law-abiding citizens who can legally carry guns in their home state to carry all across the country. The Secure Access to Firearms Enhancement (SAFE) Act, a bipartisan bill, will replace laws that only establish reciprocity between gun control states forcing gun owners to get carry permits before they bring their firearms into neighboring states. ?Our Second Amendment right does not end just because we travel to another state. This right cannot be dictated by state borders,? Boozman said…

Mexico, Mafias and Baggy Borders by Chuck Norris 03/25/2009 Do you ever wonder how we can conquer the Middle East but can't close our own borders? In the news just this past week was this small sampling of headlines: "Locals, Feds Prepare for Any Escalation of Mexican Border Violence"; "(New Mexico) delegation asks for border task force"; "Texas lawmakers angered by border security money being spent in other regions"; "U.S. Sues Railroad Over Smugglers"; "Border drain open for hours before 8 entered it." More than 7,000 lives have been lost in Mexico's drug wars in just the past 14 months. Nine in 10 guns recovered from those crime scenes have come from the …

Hi Everyone, This is a topic idea I've been thinking of for some time. I just have a few quesitons: (if you answer "no" to the first one, you don't have to answer anymore) (1) Does your church have a door-to-door visitation program? (2) How large is your church in terms of members (if you don't want to be too specific, that's fine)? (3) How many people usually attend visitation? Thanks in advance for the thoughts, everyone. God bless, Crushmaster.

Our music director used this book last Wednesday to help illustrate choosing God honoring music. The book, Publication Date: March 1987, makes it a little dated but, it still has good commentary. Has anyone here read this book and what would be your elevator ride comments for it? Could anyone here recommend a newer book, similar to above, with the IFB preference? Also, I would like to buy some other books for television viewing, Christian conversation, and general Christian conduct in and outside the home. I'm open to suggestions. If you have a link to a bookstore with some books for these areas please help. I intend to just lay them where I know my wife can put her…

The Weimar Solution by Patrick J. Buchanan 03/24/2009 ?The best way to destroy the capitalist system is to debauch the currency,? said Lord Keynes. Ben Bernanke disagrees. A student of the Depression, the Fed chair appears far more fearful of deflation ? a vicious cycle of falling prices, debt defaults, home foreclosures and rising unemployment. Deflation is what America underwent in the 1930s. A Fed-created bubble burst, causing margin calls to go out to stockholders, who ran to their banks that, besieged, collapsed, wiping out a third of our money. As Milton Friedman, who won a Nobel for his thesis that the Federal Reserve caused the Great Depression, told…

This week I?m studying Salvation ? Adoption. While looking over the text of Evan?s book, the words to an old favorite hymn came to mind, information on the song is below. In particular, I was looking toward the end of the section on Adoption, ?III. THE BLESSINGS OF ADOPTION.? One of the verses mentioned by Evans is John 17:23. John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. "Blessed Assurance" is a well-known Christian hymn. The lyrics were written in 1873 by blind hymn writer Fanny J. Crosby to the music written in 1873 by Phoebe P. Knapp. Cr…

MISSOURI STATE POLICE THINK YOU AND I ARE TERRORISTS By Chuck Baldwin March 17, 2009 NewsWithViews.com Thanks to a concerned Missouri state policeman, a nationally syndicated radio talk show host stated that he was alerted last week to a secret Missouri state police report that categorized supporters of Congressman Ron Paul, Bob Barr, and myself as "'militia' influenced terrorists." The report, he said, "instructs the Missouri police to be on the lookout for supporters displaying bumper stickers and other paraphernalia associated with the Constitutional, Campaign for Liberty, and Libertarian parties." Ignoring the threat of Muslim terrorists, the Missouri Informa…

Have you noticed that lately there is a spirit of fear everywhere we turn? It has permeated just about every aspect of our society. I thought it may be helpful, that in leiu of this, to look at scriptures that can help us counteract fear and worry in our live. I will begin and then maybe all of you could help me out. 2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

I have it on my library site at http://bythefireplace.com/17/40247-Barr ... rned-Away/ if you don't want to get one of the ancient copies available at Amazon.com. A bit about the author. E.P. Roe was a Presbyterian minister that wrote occasional articles for magazines as a hobby. He and his wife visited Chicago after the great fire and Roe was so moved by the tragedy he decided to write about it. His venture eventually emerged as a novel. It was so well received he quickly became the most read author of his time, surpassing even Mark Twain. Roe eventually realized he was reaching more people by writing books, than by being a pastor so resigned from his church to write f…

This started popping up after I let my wife check email on my computer. Somehow, while I was off doing other things she managed to download the files for it. Probably an email she opened. Also, it is nearing time to renew our Norton which is called, "Norton 360 Premier Edition," possibly leading to her to 'CLICK.' On the internet it's called "A360" and referred to as a trojan horse 'style' virus. It appears to be a virus detecting software and solicits your purchase of 'A360' to remove a host of identified virus on your PC. Like Obama phishing for support of the stimulus package, it scares you with DIRE consequences if you don't purchase it. It is part of a scam to ge…
