  1. Nothing wrong with that! We do that quite often, especially when it's a night loaded with a lot of things we have to do.
  2. That's because many have itchy ears and don't want to listen to the truths of the Word of God. They're carnal Christians.
  3. No.. Sorry. I should have clarified that. Bell peppers are what she uses. ?
  4. Tonight we're meeting one of my brothers and his wife at the Cracker Barrel for dinner. I haven't seen this brother in over four years...at my sister LeAnnes funeral. They're on their way to a wedding in Seymour, Indiana. It's my SILs niece. I also have a niece, and 2 great nephews in Seymour. They came through last week. Vivian and I usually get the chicken fried steak. YUMMY!!!
  5. If they have, I've not seen it with the graduates I know.
  6. I'm on many of those myself. Just try the Baptist board or the SouthernBaptists on FB. Even the FundamentalForums site is sometimes bad.
  7. I truly wish that I could go. A trip from Middle Tennessee to California is just not possible at this time.
  8. That's a tough call. Friends who I know that are from China said that there is a species of bear that can learn these antics. Still, it does look pretty fake. Right now, it's too close to call.
  9. I agree. Personally, I don't think he's got a leg to stand on. The university having been founded by his dad has every legal right to use the founders likeness and materials to promote itself. Jr is just ticked off because ke got caught in his wickedness and has lost his prestige and income to support his deluded and devilish lifestyle. Shameful.
  10. Disgraced former President of Liberty University has filed a lawsuit against the university founded by his late father, Jerry Falwell Sr. The suit alleges trademark infringement among several other complaints. 11. I think Jesus was quite clear when he said to love your enemies and to pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you.
  12. This is a personal attack... again. Feel free to start a POLL. Nobody is stopping you from doing so.
  13. This is the second time you've stated something like this. If someone is doing a good job in a certain position, it's up to the leadership whether to continue utilizing that person in that particular position. I would advise leaving them as this is probably where the Lord wants them at this particular time. Rotation for rotations sake is NOT a good thing.
  14. Nobody has stated differently.
  15. Different interpretations of scripture. European Christians have a different understanding of many of the passages on this subject. Is this the hill I am willing to die on? No. This subject doesn't affect my salvation one way or the other.
  16. I know that my wife and I are in need of replacing our old, worn out KJV's. I looked on Christian Books and they had Old Scofield KJV's on sale for as little as $24.95 each.
  17. I believe she used Vidalia onion, red and green pepper, a couple of cloves of garlic, black olives, ground beef or venison, and Italian seasoning. It's very good.
  18. Tonight we finished up the Italian ? casserole my wife made on Sunday. It's lasted 3 days. Thank the Lord for that.
  19. So very sorry for your loss, Linda. You're in our thoughts and prayers. The consolation is that he's with the Savior now, no pain or worries, and that we will see him again.
  20. TGL, you speak of several things. I may not be addressing them in the order that you have posted them. One is that you state you have many attackers here. Morales, this is not necessarily true and shows a"victim" mentality on your part. You have attacked several people on these forums, myself being one of them. Brother, if you are going to post on an internet forum, you're going to have to get a thicker skin. I don't know of anyone who would like to see you leave. Now, to be fair, most of what you post IS on the negative side. I know there are things that you're concerned about, and they are things most would be...but not to the point of having an obsession with them. What other churches pay their people is frankly, between that church and those they employ. You seem to consistently be attacking other churches, pastors, and even members. It's like HappyChristian has stated... stirring the pot. I was under the impression that this site was for the uplifting, fellowshipping and edification of others. Yes, discussion is part of that and should be. Not all things will be positive, but most things should not be negative in tone. You have been working on this, and you have improved. I can't control the likes and other responses. I don't know if I saw your prayer request or not.I try to see and respond to them all. At any rate, I'm glad you're here.
  21. I'm sorry, but, I believe you are mistaken, TGL. It was NOT a drunken man, it was the governor of the feast. At no point does it imply that he was drunk. He was speaking of when people have well drunk that people bring out the wine of lesser quality. We need to be careful about what we say that Scripture has said.
  22. Spurgeon, also a Baptist was a drinker as well as a smoker. The Bible talks about tarrying long at the wine and drunkenness. Partaking is not a sin. Doing so to the point of drunkenness is. For the record, I am not a drinker, but I don't think any the less of someone who does as long as they don't become drunk.
  23. I've been with many GARBC churches and have never run across one that believe that. Not saying there aren't any, but I would find it highly unlikely in the areas I have been in.
  24. Someone has invaded the site. Administrators, Moderators is this a real member?
  25. There are so many in Christian circles that do not properly exegete scripture and who put their own biases and misunderstanding of scripture in action, trying to make what they wrongly believe Bible. I believe there is enough scripture to support that Jesus drank wine. The sin is NOT in partaking, but is indeed in drunkenness. It's not a popular position, but, there it is.
