  1. I have to agree. I haven't worn a suit and tie in nearly 20 years except when I got to preach. Then I always wore that attire. Most of the time I wear a nice pair of jeans ? and nice shirt, though sometimes I will wear a nice t shirt. Here in Tennessee that's pretty much standard attire for most men.
  2. It took him that long to work up the courage. ???
  3. In this particular case, one of the two groups ended up with a very good Bible church while the other ended up joining with a b AoG church. It's sad to see so many churches splitting and parts of them going to unsound doctrine in churches that don't have any sound doctrinal practices.
  4. Well, I will try to help get it back on track... Personally, I don't think a Baptist church has to have the moniker "Baptist" in the name if the doctrine is there. I know in one church we helped start years ago we used the name of the area it was started in as a "Community Church" with a line underneath that read "A Baptist congregation." It worked quite well for several years until they got a pastor from BJU a who was charismatic in belief. He caused a division in the church and they suffered a split. The whole church, both sides of the split were absorbed into two different congregations.
  5. What one is eating is a valid question when it comes to weird dreams. Any good doctor or psychologist will tell you that. Hasn't this thread gotten a bit off track?
  6. Invicta one must stand firm by what the Bible teaches us, that being that God created us and that we were designed the way the Lord wanted us. If you're talking about your granddaughter transitioning from a girl to a tran-man, refer her to verses that show that God is a God of detail, that the very hairs of our heads are numbered. Would such a God make a mistake in assigning our sex? NEVER!.If you are speaking of her becoming a lesbian, refrr her to Romans 1. Tell her about Sodom and Gomorrah. But, NEVER stop loving her, which I know you wouldn't. She needs a Godly influence in her life. I'm ? praying for this situation and all involved. I'm also praying for TGL'S situation. It's sad and it can hit ANY family. Satan's attacks on our children and families are real.
  7. Because hypotheticals ARE a waste of time in most instances.
  8. Thank you for that answer? Were YOU eating ?? foods at that time? I've had some strange dreams in my life, but never anything like that, thank the good Lord.
  9. Moose is wonderful!. I actually like it better than venison. It seems to have a stronger taste, not really "gamey" like some of the venison I have been served. While living in Augusta Georgia I used to get Buffalo burgers from a local man who bred, slaughtered, and marketed these products through his restaurant.
  10. Tonight we're having lasagna, garlic toast, and chocolate ice cream for dessert.?
  11. My father sold his part of a Western store in the Peoria Illinois area and three years later decided move the family South to Augusta Georgia. That's where I met my wife in 1983. My ex fiance and I split up and she married a nurse (male) from Ovid, MI. I married Vivian in 1984. We've lived in Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Georgia, and for the past 23 years, Tennessee.
  12. I'm not looking for a laughing emoji, Morales. I'm looking for clarification. Your statement is somewhat a muddled mess again. What exactly are you trying to convey here?
  13. Well, thank the Lord that our lives don't depend upon our dreams, especially when they're more in the form of a nightmare. ?
  14. And what did you eat before you went to bed?
  15. I've heard all kinds of crazy stuff being taught concerning this. You're always asking if others have.... have you? ??
  16. If we're ever up that way we'll be sure to look you up. We were supposed to go to Pittsburgh to spread the ashes of my ex BIL and Vivian's older sister. But, with some of the events of the past six months, the sudden medical challenges, bills, and then an upcoming legal action against a contractor here, we just don't have the money or the time. We were planning on going to NYC to see one of our former pastors. He is pastor of an urban church there.
  17. My wife and I are facing a legal matter right now. We are having to sue a contractor in our area for not performing services paid for. He was highly recommended by Angi (Angis List) and NetWorx. We've had our attorney in contact with him and his brother for the last five months, and they have stated several times that they would pay part of it "on Friday" but each Friday has come and gone without any payment. The attorney has said he will be filing suit for us when he gets back from vacation. So, Monday will start something we never wanted. These brothers claim to be Christians, but, this makes me doubt that. Please pray these brothers take responsibility and pay up. Thanks in advance. BT
  18. I love hot ? sauce and love most everything I ate while in NYC. There were two excellent puzzarias in Manhattan back when I used to spend time there. I wish I could recall their names. And most of the Greek, Italian, and Middle Eastern eateries were wonderful! Wish my wife and I could go there for vacation one year. And the street vendors.... have mercy! Some of the best hot dogs and tacos I've ever had!
  19. Tonight it is the last of both the ribs and the potato salad from the 4th of July. Then for dessert we're going to have strawberry rhubarb crumble ala mode. Yummy!!!????.
  20. He will be in our prayers here, as will you as you live out Christ's purpose there. Blessings.
  21. Welcome, Josie! What part of Michigan are you from? My ex fiance was from Laingsburg, just outside of Lansing. Of course, that was 40 years ago. I was born a Hoosier.. born and raised for the first 6 years of my life in Bloomington. It's great to have you aboard.
  22. Going to a "Christian" college doesn't guarantee anything. But, it certainly can't hurt. I've seen a lot of men and women go to Bible college with the intent of finding a spouse, and many have ended up married and divorced because a good front was put on display. But, it seems they ended up with the "devil's disciple."
  23. I saw that this morning on the Philadelphia news. The Chicago news just said something about it in passing.
  24. Corn dogs are one of my favorites.?
