It isn't a parody like Landover - the people on there are real. I know several of them. They just aren't IFBx, many of them. I don't post on there because of a lot of what goes on.

As far as the posters being the webbie and his family, that isn't so. I know the webbie (actually watched him and his siblings at times when they were younger and his mom and dad were gone) and his family, and they are good people.

I agree. I used to post there. Most of them seem to be bitter or disillusioned Christians. Especially I noticed a vitriolic hatred towards Jack Hyles and the pastor that replaced him. I forget his name.

Just the name bothered me.

The name is to attract people and get them in. Sadly, more people will check out a board titled "Fightin' Fundamental Forums" than one with a simple name.

Perhaps this board needs to be renamed "The Pulpit Banging, Bible Thumping, Amen Shouting, KJV Believing, Online Baptist"

There is a right way to catch them, also a wrong way to catch them, & yes, many Baptist have gone to the wrong way of catching them. Some even having beer parties. But even in 2009 wrong is wrong, and its never right to do wrong to do right.

To me, onlinebaptist describes this message board quite well. Although we surely need more amen's in our churches. Seems many of the younger generations did not catch the fire of amening from our older generation.

Or perhaps because of how outrageous some have gotten, many of ours have quieted down for fear of going overboard like some have.

I never said there were no real persons on the forum. But there is no possible way that forum has that many members. After a while, looking at how people write posts, it becomes obvious usernames are shared (just like me and Jerry Howard). If one owns the board, it can't be proven conclusively. But c'mon, open your eyes.
I'm willing to bet whoever owns this board doesn't make any money doing it. The owner of the FFF and BB however does. Do you think he's not going to 'put on a show' for people?
