My daughter has high fever

Please pray for my daughter, Dani. We all have colds and some with a fever for a few hours, but my 15yr. old has had a fever for a couple of days and this morning she woke up with 104.1. Even 2hrs. after she took ibuprophen it was 101.4. She has a dr. appt. this morning. Pray that they will be able to figure it out. I went in sick with this same cold, had a super bad sore throat for over a week that tested negative for strep and they didn't do anything but tell me it was a bad virus. She has all the same symptoms except she has had a fever longer and her throat isn't as sore. I'm thinking her fever is from something else, but she doesn't have any other symptoms. Thanks in advance for the prayers. My 9mo old is the ONLY one in our family not sick.....I'm really praying she doesn't get it!

We finally made it back from the dr. The dr. told me that he has seen a lot of this cold/sore throat virus , but for some reason Dani is retaining a fever with it, where as I did not when I was sick with it. They did rule out strep or an ear infection. To be sure it's viral, the dr. ran a couple of other tests to rule out infection somewhere else. We're supposed to get the results by Thurs. because they have to culture them. Praise the Lord, her temp was finally normal by the time I got her to the dr. He told me to cycle the tylenol and ibuprophen so it doesn't spike like that again. Thanks for the prayers!

Me too. My 5yr. old woke up at 3am this morning and threw up. Other than some lost sleep and a little extra laundry we are not a whole lot worse for the wear. He only got sick a few times over a 1/2 hour to 45min. time span so I'm hoping it is just a by-product of the cold virus and all the yuck that comes with it. My daughter is feeling much better as long as we keep the fever under control. Other than that just feels like everyone here has a moderate cold. I'll be so glad when spring arrives!
