Actually, the church is about the same size. We have a college, so families that come for the college (which we did), finish their education and move on (which we didn't :smile ). Also, as in every church, there are times when people leave because they don't like the preaching, the standards, or maybe even the rules in the school. I really don't know numbers, but it's on the plus side of 1,000. I agree that it's easier to grow with a small church into a big church, but this one has been big since we've been here. I remember when my mom visited us the first time, she said she liked her little church a lot better. :smile I understood. That is one of the reasons (besides it being the right thing to do! :wink ) that I try to be really friendly to visitors.

It took me about 7-8 months for me to get to know all the members of your church by name. Coming from a church of only 100+ I really enjoyed the large church experience while I was there.

There is probably 100 to 250 people in my church. I would assume that it is closer to 250 people. :cool

My Church has 1.2 billion members from every country

That's around 18% of all the people on Earth. Now the question is, what percentage of those 1.2 billion are active? With so many "Christians", I think we should have less problems on Earth. No offense, but with such a huge number, there has to be a problem here. Most catholics I know have never read their Bibles.

Our church has at the most 50 members, most of which are faithful to the Sunday AM serivce. If you look at Sunday School, Sun PM and Wed night it is a sad showing of between 10 - 15. :sad

My church, which was planted in 1820, has around 50 regular attenders, but another 20-30 who do not come for a variety of reasons (mainly health).

It has declined in recent years, and we are currently without a Pastor, but the church is optimistic and is praying for growth. :pray
