Now I know many people who feel that soccer is not the most exciting sport to watch. I mean come one who wants to watch 90 minutes of some dudes kicking a ball around a field and after that time, only one or two goals are scored. On top of that all the acting, and diving and pretending to get hurt just doesn't make sense right? WRONG!

Listen, Soccer has its flaws, if you will, but so does every other sport. Come on baseball on television? You can sit there and tell me after 1 hour of commercials, and 2 and half more hours of waiting for the pitcher to throw the ball and see of the batter swings at it, and if he doesn't then you have to wait longer... I mean come on? I watch sports center for baseball only pretty much, because i truthfully only want to see the home runs! Look you cant honestly point out soccers flaws without pointing out the flaws of all other sports.

The thing about soccer is that its almost an acquired taste. For me soccer isn't really a sport but an art form, something beautiful to watch and observe. The players have to use every part of there body(except for the hands) to put the ball in the net. The way they pass, shoot, control the ball, defend, and score turn into visual, MVing art. Sure it can be long, and tedious to wait for, but if your a die hard fan like me, that is just pure anticipation, and when that goal is scored and the 60,000+ crowd goes absolutely nuts, that rush that you get just from sitting on your couch is amazing. i hope soccer generates in the U.S because it is a beautiful game, one that is open for eveyone to play and enjoy! GO ARESNAL!!!

Baseball can be fun to play but I can't stand to watch MLB. Football can be fun to play, but they have changed the rules of the game so much at the pro level that I don't like it as I once did (not to mention the terrible commercials I don't want to see on TV anyway). College football can be okay sometimes.

For myself, I've always preferred non-team sports, such as bicycling, running/jogging, weight lifting, wrestling (real wrestling, not WWE :roll ) and that sort.

Soccer and floor hockey in the gym were two of my favorite team sports to play in school.

When I was in high school there was this short, stocky girl who was great at sports, virtually all sports. She made watching the girls teams worthwhile. She was great at volleyball, softball and even basketball! That girl could really handle a ball and she could shoot too!

It's fun to watch the kids play though, I've went to games my sisters kids are in, volleyball, softball, bowling, etc.

I think it was like "frisbee soccer" I saw on the College Sports channel last year. It was rather interesting.

When I was younger a bunch of us used to play a "football" version which included tackling. Of course, we used to play what we called "tackle basketball" too! :Green

It's ultimate frisbee, I think. We played it in gym a couple times while I was in school. They also have intramural ultimate frisbee here at WVU. It's pretty fun.

I've played football with a tennis ball and baseball gloves before. It was September so it was the beginning of football season, but it was still baseball season, so we combined them.
