We bought our computer new, about two years ago now I guess.

Ever since we got it, on occasion, the computer screen will just go white (or white with light blue pinstripes) and I have to shut the entire powerstrip down to reboot.

It used to happen maybe once a month. Sometimes (like today GRRR) its happened three or four times, sometimes a couple times in a row. Then it will calm down and not do it for awhile, and then do it again alot.

Is this something that can be fixed? Any clues?

Ok my husband had guessed video card....this happened with two different monitors. Guess that's what it is.

Is it an Acer? That's what my Acer laptop did... at least it was still under the warranty. I shipped it back and they replaced the graphics card, and then it worked alright after that.
