Hi everyone,

I'm new here so I just wanted to introduce myself real quick. I've been seeking Christ for 3 years and it's been quite a journey. I was mixed up in a lot of falsehood, but continually seek truth in Christ. My life philosophy is now a combination between Jeremiah 17:5 and Hebrews 4:12. My heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, but the Word of God is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart. I must see and fully understand an issue from the Bible if I am to fully believe it and live my life according to it.

I got married about 2 years ago and it was a huge culture shock. I'm an only child, and lived alone for a while before I met my wife. I now have two stepchildren and a busier life than before. I'm having a hard time adjusting, but that's no excuse.

I have been dealing with a lot of sin. My tongue has been a sword at work and at home, I'm often speaking out and sometimes even acting out in anger, and there are some other things as well. I'd like to ask for some simple prayer support in my battle against the flesh, this world, and the devil.

While I have definitely been moving in the right direction, I still have some moving to do. I pray that God will give me the strength to be a good witness and live a life pleasing to Him.

Thank you, God bless, and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

I'll be praying for you Kenny. I have a hard time with anger-management myself and can let my tongue lash out in sarcasm before I catch hold of it. It's for this reason James has become my favorite book in the Bible. I need its instruction often. Anger is a strong tool of the devil. I find fasting and prayer helps. Stay fimly in the word. Read the Bible every day and be patient (another one of my short comings). Trust in God. That was the lesson I had to learn most. If you give the issues that anger you over to God, they become much more easy to handle.

Again, I'll be praying.
