Should the Christians focus on the stock market and invest in the stock market? Have you ever heard of a church investing the tithes and offering in the stock.

No, I have never heard of a church investing in the stock market. I've heard of a denomination doing it, ie, Mormons, and even some Catholic diocese's.

Now concerning Christians investing in the stock market, there's nothing wrong with it. One can wisely invest and secure quite a bit of wealth doing so. It's pretty much between each individual and the Lord what they do with their money.

I think a church should stay away from investing. It's way too risky and there's much more important things to invest in like missionaries, the building, poor folks in the church and potluck diners!

Individually I see no problem as long as all your more important financial obligations are met first.

I think if a church can invest in the stock market. They have way too much money. Fraud is much easier to take place.

So, TGL, just how many churches do YOU know of that invest in the stock market? I have contacts in thousands of churches of many different denominations and not a one of them invests in the stock market. They know the money belongs to the Lord and not to themselves.
