The desire to have more

How do we know if it is of God, or the devil, the desire to have more.

One way to tell is this...if the desire isn't in line with what the Bible teaches, and is contrary to it's directives, it's probably from the adversary. The Bible tells us that if we're following Christ and our desires are desires that he would approve of, if we ask in his name, God will answer our request as long as it's in his will.

Also, it’s your flesh, the Devil can influence but ultimately it’s you who wants what you don’t have.
