Yesterday, I discovered a reason to blog...

Rachel (joyfulpraise93) mentioned in her blog that blogging is a good way to keep one's family and friends up to date without sending a bunch of emails. Now why didn't I think of that?

I used to assume that blogging was for chatty types (which I'm not) and I become bored very quickly of "small talk" (although, I really enjoy the blogs I read; you gals are great writers!). I also never thought our life was interesting enough to put out there in the blog-o-sphere. But...being the organizing minimalist that I am (stop laughing), I now see blogging as a good thing for me because I am terrible at keeping our family and friends informed of our life. I also don't like sending out a zillion different emails so.......

I have a blog now.

I checked it out and left a comment. Funny story. As I said, there isn't anything funny happening with us since our son is grown up. Maybe when the grandkids come...I did post a bit about my son's graduation on my blog, but sometimes I just don't have anything to say (which really surprises my husband! ).

That's mainly why I blog too, to keep friends updated. I also do it because it's fun to look back a couple years ago and just see how much I have grown. I plan to pass it on to my future children at some age too so they can see what their mommy did before they were born and when they were young (as well as read funny stories about them as littles I am sure).
