Members DaveW
A quick question: Why would any born again believer take a username directly reflecting the man who started the organisation which has done the most to corrupt the Bible and persecute true Christians? Just wondering..........
Members No Nicolaitans
Still trying to figure him out. My gut feeling says he's harmless, but I guess time will tell. I did a quick internet search for that particular spelling of his name, and I found that there are people with that name spelled that way...so...it could be his actual name? I also found this in the so-called "Urban Dictionary"... Top definition konstantine 1.Someone you love unconditionally. 2.Is more than likely your first true love. You will always be my Konstanatine. However, I found the second most popular definition more interesting... konstantine The most important influence in one's life. Like the "constant" in a mathmatical formula, it will always exist and always effect whatever it influences. Is often used to refer to someone who is extremely dear to another. Term was was firt coined by Andrew McMahon, lead singer of the band "Something Corporate" in the song "Konstantine" He seems to be all into mathematical formulas and such... By the way, I don't know how accurate the "Urban Dictionary" is; after all, the word "effect" (in the second definition above) should have been "affect". They spelled Konstantine wrong in the first definition...You will always be my Konstanatine. ...and they left the "s" out of the word "first" in the second definition...Term was was firt coined... Sorry...I can be a Grammar-Nazi at times.
Moderators Salyan Posted June 5, 2017 Moderators Share Posted June 5, 2017 No, you're not a grammar Nazi. Mostly because correcting grammar will in no way cause the deaths of millions of people. We really need a new term for that...

Mostly because correcting grammar will in no way cause the deaths of millions of people. We really need a new term for that... You're right; very poor choice of wording on my part. However, I did find this at Dictionary.com Nazi [naht-see, nat-] noun, plural Nazis. 1. a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, which controlled Germany from 1933 to 1945 under Adolf Hitler and advocated totalitarian government, territorial expansion, anti-Semitism, and Aryan supremacy, all these leading directly to World War II and the Holocaust. 2. (often lowercase) a person elsewhere who holds similar views. 3. (often lowercase) Sometimes Offensive. a person who is fanatically dedicated to or seeks to regulate a specified activity, practice, etc.: So, I guess that I shouldn't have capitalized the N. Regardless, it was a poor choice for me to use it. I do apologize if my use of the term "Nazi" offended anyone; I meant no offense. It didn't even occur to me what I was writing when I wrote it. Administrators HappyChristian Posted June 5, 2017 Administrators Share Posted June 5, 2017 No offense taken, NoNic. I personally didn't take it as reference to Hitler's party. But thanks for the clarification. ;) No Nicolaitans
