Can anyone give me some suggestions for fundamental and doctrinally sound curriculum materials for Sunday school and youth group. My church is a fundamental, independant, baptist church, and the only curriculum I have found that we like is from Regular Baptist Press. However, I don't think their materials for youth group are really what I'm looking for as they don't seem to cover a very wide range of ages effectively. Please post your suggestions or send me a private message. Any help would be greatly appreciated. God Bless.

I know it tends to be somewhat unpopular because of some of the allegedly radical things it says, but I know of a book that makes a great foundation for a Sunday School class, but it takes a bit more study because it's very plain spoke and doesn't water things down. Around here we call it the Bible.

I agree with Danny, but since most SS teachers are not willing to put the work in, here are my recommendations

Nursery - Kind - Abeka Books Joyful Life program
Primary - Juniors - Anchor - BJU's curriculum (KJV based and excellent) http://www.anchorchurchresources.com/
Teens & Adults - Pastor who develops his own and Youth Pastor/Leader who develop their own.

I certainly agree when it comes to Jr. High and older, but when it comes to teaching the younger ones, I think, if the teacher will not just read the material, but also open their bible and read from it and only use the teaching material as an aide, that some good, doctrinally sound, and fundamental materials can help teach the younger children. My only point here I guess is that it's not the material that is a problem, it's the teachers that choose not to properly prepare and simply use the material as an outline like they should, but, rather, just read the "lesson" from the material that is really the problem. And, in all honesty, it's our job as Pastors, Youth Ministers, Sunday School Directors, and Youth Leaders to ensure that teachers are properly grounded in the word and trained to teach the word before thrusting them in a classroom with a lesson book. We need to take responsibility as leaders in the church and not blame a book or piece of paper. And thanks for the suggested material, at least at first look and from their mission statement, it appears to be sound, biblically based, and fundamental at it's core.
