To bad that so many of the members of the RCC don't understand that humans cannot make anyone a saint, that the path to being a saint lies only by the path which goes thru Jesus.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Sure is a lot of difference between a RC saint, and a saint who has actually been born again.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Those members of the RCC who I have posted to in a couple of groups tell me that they do not have to be born again to have a promise of heaven after being cleansed, purified, in purgatory. :roll

Yes I agree too bad that the RCC Church and other Catholics makes people saints and not allowed to read the Bible to better understand the truth. I just battled my Catholic Sister and her 15 year old daughter about the skater named Bam mergenta or something on MTV. They think it's ok to watch this stuff because thier Catholic Church don't condemn this living. It's sad that my family thinks I am the black sheep.

Makes these verses ring true.

Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

No doubt, there are many times when one who holds very close to God's teachings where their family will think they have a bad problem.

Yes! Thanks for the scripture Jerry#'s. It is so difficult and scripture proves it. :pray that the Lord sends other Christians to be a witness to them. :bible: I know the pain, as I understand others do, as well. :sad

I'll have to respond to this thread at a later time...it is time for me to go to sleep for the night.

Jerry, just wanted to remind you that the approach with Biblical wisdom you take in many of your postings is greatly appreciated. Most times, I'm at work when on OB, so I don't actually have my Bible open on my desk. Unfortunately, I tend to be able to remember general topics and locations, but am lacking in quoting scripture and verse in many of my postings. So know that the inclusion of scripture on your part is also greatly appreciated.

More than welcome. When I post, I always home on my computer and got the Bible right here handy on the computer. In fact I?ve got 3 of them, did have 4, took one of them off, maybe I can get by with just the 3.

Its amazing to me that some Christians just can?t understand that if you take a 100% stand for Christ, they may be family member who you love very much, and even wonderful friends would will stop having any thing to do with you. The may completely shun you.

Which I went thru this back in 1997 when I surrendered to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not with family, but with some friends. But at that time I found out who my true friends where. Some of them would not so much as say hi to me.

And to be honest, I thought some of these friends would go to the end of this earth for me. But that?s alright, I have a Friend who will never forsake me, plus He is the one who counts.

Proverbs 18:24 ??there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.?

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

:amen::goodpost: Jerry#'s...my hubby warned me about this prior to me faithfully serving the Lord Jesus Christ. He said many things to me about "worldly" friends leaving me, family, co-workers, etc. It is funny how my sister became so "Catholic" all of a sudden...at that time, too. :roll He warned me that I would probably be called a "fanatic" for Jesus Christ...WHICH I LOVE. I would probably be known as a Bible Thumper...WHICH I LOVE. I would be a "Jesus Freak" WHICH I LOVE. :bible:

My Saviour is the LORD JESUS CHRIST...and I am proud to proclaim His Holy name. My family are my brothers and sisters in Christ...we are God's kids. :amen: Also, OB...you great brothers and sisters in Christ are also " Christian family" to me. Who can ask for anything more. :thumb

Let's pray that we can keep that boldness and strength to always stand up for Christ, hold only to His truths no matter who may stand or turn against us or what may come our way.

I've seen some very dear Christians who have turned on Christ and or turn from His true teachings for many different reasons. For example.

Many years back a father and mother who were great Baptist Church workers who lost their 21 year old son in a car wreck. After they buried him they denounce that there was a God, a hell, or a heaven, for they knew he had never made a confession of faith. . They made a memorial out of his grave. They will not talk to anyone about God or Christ or church.

I've seen good solid life long Church attending Baptist father and mother who believes that one is saved only by grace thru faith who have had a family member join one of those churches who teaches your saved by works and such, all of a sudden take a turn and say there is more than one way to Christ and no longer take a true solid stand. how one is saved.

12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

1 Cor 10:12 (KJV)

I'm not saying that none of don't understand this. I'm just reminding us. In my 61 years of living I have been totally shocked at some who have denounced Christ or turned from the truth.

Second...pretty wild how Satan can actually cure disease in order to lead millions astray. I'm convinced this is what happened.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, but do you have any scriptural evidence to put toward your hypothesis that Satan would cure a disease?

Yes, especially in these last days. :amen:I Timothy 4:1...NOW the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; KJV 1611 AV.

Good postings. As far as satan curing disease, I'm not even sure he can, unless, of course, God gave him power to as in the case of causing Job's sufferings. I do know that God places many of the cures to these diseases right in His very creation - the earth. So who's to say that this was not necessarily a case of a miracle and possibly that God allowed a medical treatment to cure the disease. The RCC has been known in the past to try to make things appear different than they actually are for the sake of the RCC's appearance of righteousness.
