Invicta, I think all you have to do is include your card info in the PayPal account and choose that when you make your purchases. . At least that's how it works when I pay for stuff on Ebay. Mine is set up to choose either direct debit from my bank account or to use my Discover card.  It should work the same.

Yes I did that but they still charged quite a lot for the currency conversion.  They adjust the exchange rate ti=o take account of their commission.

Currency conversion: To complete this transaction, we converted the payment amount to the currency of your card based on our agreement with you. PayPal's currency conversion fee is added to the exchange rate, which is set by an external financial institution. For more information about fees, see our User Agreement.

Money isn't money anymore, anyways. Our currency has not been based on the gold standard in many decades. Its based on air, on the good faith and promise of the government, and we know how solid THAT is!

Another "gift" from a Republican president who also opened the doors to China becoming our greatest rival, paving the way for China to become the dominate world power in the 21st century.

Back to cash, for a couple years my favorite gas station gave a 5% discount if paying in cash. For some reason they ended that this year. The discount typically only amounted to some change each time but over the course of time a good amount was saved.

I always carry cash, which I prefer to use, but I keep credit cards on me too.

It's funny to talk with some of those who buy gold coins to stockpile with the idea they can survive when the economy crashes. For some reason they don't believe the government can make their gold illegal and take it from them even when it's pointed out the government has already done so in the past.

More amazing is the number of Christians who believe they may have to live through some form of tribulation which sets the stage for "the" tribulation (with some also thinking they may have to go through some of the actual tribulation) and they rely upon their underground shelter or "safe house" in the wilderness and stockpiles of dehydrated food and a little safe filled with gold and silver coins. Their trust is clearly in their preparations and what they have set aside rather than in God or His Word.

I agree on gold-its metal, its only worth what someone is willing to give for it, in the long run. When the governments join, they will deicde what gold is worth, not any market-there will be no more market. Everything will be decided by those with the power. Even if I'm not right about the rapture timing, I suspect this country will be pretty-well down the tubes before it anyways, and the only thing worth stockpiling will be comodities, real things, like beans, rice, flour, sugar, coffee, and yes, if you want something to really trade well? Tobacco. Bartering with others who aren't willing to just 'go along' will be the only way to survive.

Edit to add: And of cours, even that will only last for so long-those in power will come and take what they want, and if we resist, they'll not hesitate to kill those who are seen as a problem.

Banks here charge businesses to count their cash.  I can't see why, because they have scales for weighing coins and machines for sorting notes that can count hundreds of notes in seconds.
