I'm not a Pastor, but if I was it would depend on a couple different things. The first is the candidate would have to ask me to do the interview, a Pastor has a biblical responsibility not to spread gossip, even truth is gossip if the information is given out without the permission of the one you are speaking of. A Pastor has to maintain the confidentiality of his congregation. So the candidate would have to ask me to support their campaign and give permission for me to speak about them.
The second is that they would have to understand that anything I said would be the truth of how I felt about their political beliefs, whether is is positive or negative it would be the truth of how I viewed their campaign.
If the first two conditions were met then the third would depend on the news media that wanted to interview me, I wouldn't speak with any of the ones you listed in your original post, none of them give unbiased reporting, they all take bits and pieces and turn them into sound bite completely out of context to say what ever they want it to say. I would only want to be interviewed by a news source that I knew would report the whole interview, so the viewers could judge for themselves the context.

That's my opinion on it and worth what you paid for it.

I don't think its proper for a pastor to reveal anything whatsoever about one of their church members. That ought to just be between the pastor and God.

But I feel many pastors love the limelight, they feel it will bring the public attention on their church and gain membership.

I mean interview about your church and what it believe (you wouldn't be discussing about the member of the church.. just about your church itself). They are doing this to all Palin's churches to get a better idea what who she is.

It would depend on the news agency doing the interview. I have given the phrase "NO Comment" to one reporter, while giving a full interview to another.

The thing about new media, they want something they can use against a person, or least that is the case with Sarah Palin. Me, I would not want to say anything that they would twist and use against anyone. Especially a member or former member.

The news media has been digging very deep to get hold of anything they can use against this woman, probably Obama has as well.

Just as they have brought out what the pastor at a former church she was a member of has said.
