TJohn, the best one is the one that is best for you.   I bought a USB keyboad but very rarely use it. I boaught a case for the tab let I gave to my granddaughter and a case and keboard for the one I gave to my grandson.  When we went to theirs on 25th Dec,  They were both using the without, saying it made them too heavy.

A main consideration is what operating system they run.  Most apps are only available tor Apple and Android.  That includes bank accounts, hotel booking. bible study and nearly everything else.  In fact I have only seen one app that was not the those two and that was for a Blackberry

That is the situation over here anyway.

If you leave wi fi on it will eat up battery life, So only switch it on when you actually need to use it.

Good to know!

Beyond using a desktop computer I'm not familiar with 21st century tech! I've never had, or had any experience with laptops, tablets, notebooks, smart phones or any of those sort of devises.

Living without the mouse is the hard part.  I tried it and can't do it.  :binkybaby:

I use a wireless mouse for my laptop and a stylus for my tablet.

Thousands of years of technological advances and we have finally arrived at the 'domesticated mouse' and 'tablet and stylus' stages.
