Our toilet needs some repair work done on it, but we just don't have the time. The water supply is leaking, and we have had to put a bowl down under it to catch the drips. Lately, the drips have gotten larger or something since we can now hear it dripping into the bowl from our bedroom. Not a very peaceful sound when you are trying to go to sleep.

Seriously dude.... you're talking about a 10 dollar repair and 30 min tops.

You can replace everything in a toilet expect the body/tank for about 30 bucks. YOu can even unbolt it and replace the wax for about 5 bucks

You'll feel good about yourself, the hunter'gather'home provider thing if you just go ahead and do it.

All yea need is a wrench... not even the right one! pliers? big scissors!?!?!

We have to turn off the water in the whole house since there is no shut off for the toilet. We are going to replace every connection from the supply to the toilet. We have purchased a nice shut off for the toilet - only requires a quarter-turn to shut off the water.

Hey, Qwert, have you ever tried to fix a toilet with 3 kids wanting to help? :Bleh

that does put a whole new spin on things, doesn't it? LOL

Someone once asked me why it takes me forever to actually put the clothes UP after they have been washed/dried. I replied that the washing/drying part involved no little helpers, a machine did it. On the other hand, the folding and putting away seems to include quiet a few pairs of "helping" hands! LOL
