The aliens were slowed down by the blast of the lasers and many fell beneath their hot, searing power. Still, the aliens were coming in even greater numbers. The only hope for the survival of the team would be to somehow find a way back to the stargate.

Our force, composing of twenty-five men, now only had fourteen, include myself and Kevin. We had to get back to the stargate, and fast. Our best option? Grenades!

But Kevin stopped him before he had a chance to detonate. "Wait, you can't use grenades! The compounds that make up the blood of this particular alien species can be very volatile in an explosion and a grenade could take them out and us with them. Lasers originate from light and don't have the same explosive effect, which is why we haven't used bullet-equipped weaponry in on-the-ground combat with them."

"Thanks," I told Kevin. I took my communicator off of my belt, and said, "Boys, bring in the big guns. We need to get out of here!" As the aliens continued advanced, we kept firing away, hoping to be able to make it back to stargate. Fortunately, the men who I had called arrived quickly, armed with laser weapons at least four times as powerful as our own. They let 'em go, and alien after alien fell. "Back to the stargate! Now's our chance!" Kevin yelled.

"Well, let's hope the camera doesn't get blasted," I muttered to Kevin as we continued backtracking to the stargate. "Don't want to disappoint the people back home!"

Sorry, I was drinking this nasty grape soda. I thought it was wine, at first.

"The Stargate is still just over a mile behind us. We can't leave a man behind! Everybody stay together and form a perimeter around the optrominal emitter. Without it, we won't be able to have enough power to get our ship back to earth."

"We're pushing them back, commanders!" a soldier yelled to Kevin and I. "We..." *Blam!* The man was killed.

"Did you enjoy your grape soda?" I asked Kevin as I blasted at some aliens while we jumped behind a bunch of rocks.

"Not really," he chuckled. "It was quite despicable, actually."
