I've actually well researched the masonic, and other connections the Founders were involved with (that's not to say I don't appreciate you posting a link for the book, that's helpful and kind).

The only thing I heard this woman say the Holy Ghost led her to say was that God will not be mocked. I've not heard her claim that everything else she said was something the Holy Ghost led her to say.

She explained afterward that the Holy Spirit had kept her up for nights (kinda like Bill O'Reilly) to speak that.  Sorry, but her claim is that the Holy Spirit led her to say what she said - and she lied.  The Holy Spirit would not be a part of that.

Freemasonry was not then what it is now - and the majority of the founders who many people have claimed were part of them actually were not.  And their writings prove that.

(What she said was that the Constitution was written by freemasons and atheists...that was the lie.  She didn't say anything about the founders.)

Perhaps she's made statements I've not yet heard. Thus far, I've only heard her claim the Holy Ghost led her to say "God will not be mocked".

In any event, one has to wonder why she is willing to risk all speaking forth while most followers of Christ fail to use the platforms they have. All too often, even when handed a public platform, Christians here in America refuse to speak boldly and make solid statements.

On the rare occasion when a Christian does speak some truth publically, and they quickly come under fire, they backtrack, attempt to explain away what they said or outright say they were wrong and apologize.

She claimed the Holy Spirit led her to say everything she said.

I'm just cynical enough to have to wonder if this isn't all part of discrediting Christianity.  People on the floor made comments that she seemed to stiffen up and become almost trancelike before she went up there.

I don't doubt you heard or read that somewhere, I was only pointing out that I haven't as of yet.

It would not surprise me to learn someone prompted her into this but I don't know someone would do so to discredit Christians since she didn't go far enough for that. To me, it seemed those on the floor with her were trying to come up with quick excuses for why this "otherwise nice girl" would do and say such a thing.

Unless she writes a book, Lifetime makes a movie, or something like that comes about, this is a flash in the pan that will soon be forgotten...and is likely forgotten already by most.

It could be. But I think it will be used as "proof text" that Christians are crazy.

Undoubtedly someone will file it away for such.

Considering the "shrink" fields are moving ever more closely to declaring at least certain aspects of Christianity, and/or religion in general, as being a mental disorder, they will be writing their own "proof texts" which they can then use to have certain people arrested, locked up, denied jobs and otherwise persecuted and harassed.

I don't know about the atheist part, but I did hear her mention freemasons, and some did have a hand in the founding.

True yet many Christians think they've got to keep masons & atheist out of it so they can feel good about our forefathers & the constitution. That group of people was made up of people much like we have in our government today, unbelievers, atheist, false teachers, liberal believers, & yes, even masons. Oh, most of those are people God tells us not to yoke up with.

2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2Co 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
2Co 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Absolutely wrong.  Absolute misinformation.  Sad.
