Our Government Wants us Blind to Everything...

Hey ~

I wanted to post this...because it has been on my heart for awhile. With the issue about Obama and "gun control"...I thought I would start this thread.

Does anyone remember the TV show that was on 2 seasons ago? It was called: Jericho? Well...they took that show off of Prime Time TV the first season it was on. Then...an overwhelming number of viewers wanted it back. I am one of them. They took it off...yet again. I will find a link to post if anyone is interested.

It just seems that the government wants citizens blind to everything. Jericho was a show that made people think about the End Times. Of course, Holly weird would rather control our brains with mindless fodder so that we can't draw our own conclusions.

Any other ideas on this subject?

Jericho was an interesting show. We watched it online. I don't know that the government has anything to do with it being taken off the air. More likely, they didn't know where to go with the plot line - another Civil War or what. It was an intense show, that's for sure.

The only reason that this occurred to me, is that I was on a Christian site that recommended movies. Many people thought it had something to do with our federal government. It was stated that the "government doesn't want us to think." Jericho really made people think.

You have a great point, HC; however, I really am beginning to question how much say we have had in ANYTHING over the last couple of decades. Including movies. Have they been controlled not just by Hollywood, but by our government? Do we really have ANY rights anymore? Have they been striped from us...already?

All Hollywood has been showing is garbage. Fireproof didn't seem to stay at the theaters very long.

I honestly don't think government is controlling Hollywood. Hollywood is extreme left all on its own, and thus will portray much that is anti-American. And many of the "stars" support the worse of politicians.

Fireproof was showing at a lot of churches, too. I don't know that the makers of the movie intended it to have a long run. I'm looking forward to it being out on dvd so I can watch it. I think it will actually reach a larger audience via dvd.

LOL...This is the answer that I wanted. Yeah...that makes sense. Thanks, HC.

Me too! We were in the middle of moving when it came to theaters. I can't wait, either. My in-laws saw it at the theater...and, said it was an amazing movie.

Jericho was an interesting show. I watched the first season but stopped after that. The immorality in it greatly greatly bothered me. The biggest issue for me was that the main character encouraged his brother to leave his wife for "love" because "you only live once." He did leave his wife and everything worked out all fine and dandy and the family eventually accepted his new "wife" with open arms. That's not to mention other stuff like the deaf girl walking in on her dad groveling in bed with his girlfriend(who he lived with while unmarried). The story was certainly gripping but by the end of the first season, the story wasn't enough for me to continue watching stuff that was really offending my conscience.

Yeah, it was pretty immoral - I don't remember the part about the deaf girl, though. Maybe it's one we didn't see.

I don't remember either of those episodes. Thanks for telling me, Kevin. It seems that every TV show anymore is immoral. Too bad. :-(
