Well, mash the beans; make the rice a little sticky. Spread some rice on a plate. Put a spoon of the mashed beans on the rice, and scoop the rice into a ball. Use a knife to cut slices, close your eyes and tell yourself, "yes, this tastes like melt in your mouth beef...filet mignon! They're right!" :duh

cook it in a crockpot too.

....and I believe, a hunger for power, as well.

Well yes of course, but I just mean that the way he got votes was preying on selfishness.

Yes, indeed, he also preyed on emotionalism of the black people. It is a sad fact that the man who my husband heard say he thought he was "going to get paid" was black. I greatly am ashamed at what our country did to the African Americans during those years of slavery and inequality, but if we ever want to give true equality to the here and now.........we MUST move on. My sil is black, we are very good friends, it is so hard listen to her tell me that there are many blacks who do NOT want equality--they want PAID. Why can't we just start over, forgive, heal and move on?

The modern Dem Party always plays on the selfish desires of voters. That's why they are known as "the entitlement Party". They are the ones who constantly offer more government bones to those who will vote for them.

The Dems, along with with black "leaders", help to keep alive the idea that blacks are owed something and that blacks should demand deference, hand-outs, and whatever they want from whites. This is often taught in public schools, in most colleges and many black churches.

Boy, what you just said is unpopular! My sil, however, says the same thing. I fear, that our new President, rather than soothing the issues, will instead, inflame them.

It was extremely unpopular when I would point this out while attending university! :Green

Sorry, I was just teasing. I knew what she meant... just that I often hear people say "What a crock of ___" and that's was the first thing I thought of when I saw the title.

In fact, I should report myself for thinking that. :Bleh

The big 3 about to go under and things are getting better. The big three wanting our government to bail them out, and things are getting better.

Ironic isn't it, the big 3 did everything they could to run others out of the auto business, make them go broke, mow they have trouble and they want uncle to bail them out.

Probably like other companies, spent to much money on their big shots and party time but they want to tax payers, the one who they sell cars to, to bail them out.

What was good for their competition not that many years back, is good for them now.

Well it may well be ironic, but if they actually went under completely (I'm not saying they aren't crying wolf) could we as a nation be placed at the mercy of other countries supplying us with vehicles, and if so, do we want that to happen? I'm sure you're thinking that I'm biased because I live in Michigan, but you know, if the auto makers go under, our state is sunk completely......really, no one will have any jobs. Governor Granholm (remember her name, she's like a younger Hillary--yikes!) has already driven enough jobs from our state with her "policies", and like Obama she doesn't see how these things are NEGATIVELY effecting our economy. It is such a big mess, it is unbelievable. Our taxes keep going up here, but our property value is going down....figure THAT out. :roll
