I am writing you from Russia from Moscow region. My name is Valentina, I'm 27 years old.
In 11 years I have repented and received Jesus Christ as Lord. It happened on the Kolyma, I was born, where in Soviet times had been the camps and the prisoners suffered for Christ. And in 16 years already in Moscow, I was baptized in a local Baptist churc of "SC EHB". My parents hate my faith from the beginning. They are influential people and feared for his reputation. The Lord led me through a wondrous, but the attachment to the family shaken my faith, and when I was 21 I left the church and opened access to my life of sin and demons forces. I made ​​a very terrible things. But without God's guidance, my life became very bad.
I got married, but my husband drank heavily, and our firstborn, died three days after birth in terrible agony. Our second son, born two years after the first, was ill severe genetic disease - glycogen storage disease. Husband left me with a sick child. Education and a good profession allowed me to live independently and raise a son. But I realized then that only God is able to wisely organize my life. I went back to my church and a few months with my son Arthur went to worship.
But after a while my father was unleashed on me social care. I was threatened that my son will be taken away if I did not stop attending church Baptists. My son had threatened to withdraw in an orphanage. I was very frightened, and again stopped going to church and to communicate with other Christians.
But I have my soul longs for communion with God. I need your prayer support for me to betray my fate and the fate of my son in the hands of the Lord. I've always been very stubborn and did not trust the Lord to the end, but now my my faith to be an ordeal and I hope for the spiritual support of brothers and sisters in Christ.
In Russia there are many Baptist churches, but unfortunately is a growing separation between them. My local church is also divided into several parts. It happened with the scandal, and I do not know to which of the churches to choose. It is very difficult for me question. But I believe that trust in the Lord, can all understand. I look forward to any support and letters. Sorry for my poor English.

Valentina, welcome to OB. I'm adding you to my prayer list to find a Bible believing and teaching church. Moscow is a big city but, I knew some missionaries who might have a church suggestion. I'll check and let you know later.

Val, I hope you find sweet fellowship here, and that the peace of Christ fills your heart with great joy in Him. I have read "The Persecutor", which is about a Russian defector that found Christ and came to Canada, then America. It tells a lot about how Christians were treated in the U.S.S.R under the Communist regime.

My missionary friend spent several years in Russia but is now in S.E. Asia. Here is what they said...

I know there are several good ministries in Russia and near Moscow. The problem is that their contact info and even physical locations change so frequently that I don't have current info. Your friends best option is to contact Hinkson Christian Academy. (You can find it with a google search.) They will have contact info for churches near Moscow. Hope this helps.
