No, did not watch. And as Dave said, "I don't watch Huckabee either."

Its easy to see her goal, the White House. I believe the only way she will not run for the republican nomination is if she feels it will be impossible for her to win.

Why watch reality TV when we live reality each day of our life and its not faked reality as seen on TV.

Excellent points Jerry!

I've never seen the attraction to "reality" shows but I've noticed the ill effect some have had on families and people in general. It seems most of these shows focus upon the foul, disgusting, and even wicked things and many who watch such programs imitate them.

So as not to be once again misunderstood, I'll make it clear that I'm not saying the show this thread is about is like that. Even with that said, in the first episode it was clear they were trying to set a stage for "rebellious daughters" and they seemed to be sure to get plenty of clips with Sarah doing "polite cussing". No doubt the "rebellious daughters" aspect would be considered very tame by most reality show standards, and even by some unsaved folks, but for those who hold to Christian teaching or traditional views, such wasn't a minor thing.

In any event, Sarah has finally admitted she's considering running for the presidency. It might be interesting to see who the first few are who actually announce their intention to run for president when the new year rolls around.

So far we've watched every episode, mostly because we love the Alaska wilderness. As much as Sarah uses "polite cussing", and that for the most vulgar of terms, it makes one wonder how she might talk when the cameras are not around.

I found it kind of humourous that TLC placed a "some viewers may find some content disturbing" because they showed them hunting and killing caribou, then cutting it up to take home. Later in the show they showed a bit of them preparing the meat for the freezer.

And it will be interesting to see who drops out 1st, of course some may struggle for a while before giving up.

Early next year we'll see who is first to jump into the running and who all puts their hats into the ring, and how many.

Unfortunately, there is no solid single leader for the Repubs which means we could have a repeat of last time around where primary voters are very split among the choices. This often leads to the better choices losing out.

Another bad factor is that many of the Repub voters are willing to vote for an unworthy candidate simply because they think that candidate may have a better chance of winning either the primary or general election.

As you say, it will be interesting to see who drops first, whether because of the heat they are facing or because of lack of support.

There's talk about SP and the RNC...I personally think it'd be a better move to have her in the RNC than running for POTUS. But then, I don't like Gingrich, either, or Romney, or Huckabee...

Unfortunatly the RNC is run mostly by those of a more liberal mindset. It's actually a pathetic shame how quick they were to put Steele in as chairman, primarily because he's black and they wanted a counterbalance to OBama, and secondarily because he's more liberal minded. What a disaster that has been!

It is possible the RNC might see moving Palin into the chairmanship as a means of keeping her under control and out of the running for president.

But yeah, so far we are mostly seeing a possible repeat of those who couldn't pull people together last time. Of course this could work well for Newt and the RNC would likely push for a Newt candidacy. So far, it's not looking promising on the GOP front, but thankfully it's still early.

I was thinking about the head of the RNC. There is no way they can draw the money they hope for as they have in the past. There is more competition for the republican money with originations like Rove started up trying to get money to use for the republicans.

Michael Steele may well be doing a pretty good jOB, if they do not watch their self they will hurt there self more than helping their self going after Steele as they are. They just may run off many of the black republicans that have come over to their side.

I am not a bit amazed at what people will do that covet position and power, many will tear their own people to pieces for a bit of position and power. That is what they seem to be doing to Michael Steele.
