The only thing I will say, I know your aware of this verse, yet it might be helpful to someone reading this.

23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
Romans 14:23 (KJV)

When in doubt don't do it, for its sin for you to do so.

I wish today were a more cheerful day! The 'holiday' is bringing me down! I'll be fine, definitely need to pray a lot this evening. Work is going to be different for me tonight. There is a big "Ghost Walk" down town and of course every other phone call I get is "What time is trick-r-treatn'?!" For my sake I am glad it is not until tomorrow... I don't have to work then woohooo! I'll be planted happily in a pew for morning and evening services not letting my daughter get caught up in this mess. We don't dress up at work (Cops are already scary in uniform). I've already seen my fair share of nasty costumes posted by a few friends on Facebook, Barf. I don't want to see your fishnet stockings up to your thigh.

This one girl I went to high school with I assume is dressed as... I have no idea what! A whore I suppose. All black, fishnets, short short dress, black hair, dark lipstick. NOBody should dress like that but some people REALLLLY should not dress like that if ya KWIM. She even drew on her leg a fake tattoo or something. She has two young toddlers, what on earth is you young boy going to think when he sees that?! That all women are ok to look like that. I try to be uplifting to her and give her words of encouragement when she posts about being down and out. And then I see that and it can be discouraging. She is often on my prayer list.

My "jOB" is working from home doing cakes....and unless something really badly goes against my convictions (my cut off line is "can I explain this to my children without feeling guilty?") I will fill the cake order. If its an order I don't want my kids to see (like a beer bottle or something) I don't accept it. I have had to do several cake orders I was unsure about but I try to at least refuse the OBviously wrong ones.

This weekend I filled a Halloween cake order and I knew it was borderline (basically I should not have taken the order but it was now too late...it was for a repeat customer). After I finished the cake yesterday (and it turned out rather well actually) I looked up a few things on the internet about the design I had just finished and I did not realize it was basically Wiccan. *sigh* I prayed alot yesterday asking God to forgive me and protect my family since it was in my house, and hubby (who had not paid enough attention to realize the Wiccan origins of the design) suggested I include a tract with it and never do it again. (And yep I did have to explain to my kids that although the cake looked pretty cool....I should not have accepted the order and that it was bad...and they knew that and agreed.)

So I've been feeling sort of bad this weekend. *sigh*

Although I did learn that Halloween isn't near as wicked and pagan as the true Wiccan holiday that is celebrated on the same day!!!! Ughhhhh.

Don't feel bad, we all stumble and you handled the stumble well. You have learned valuable lessons, had the opportunity to share important lessons with your children and your husband. You have set your heart to follow Christ and not repeat the stumble. Rejoice! Press on now in victory in Christ!
