This is indicative of today's culture in America. The progressives expect everyone to tolerate everything, but the progressives can't tolerate Christian who disagrees with them. This is wrong on so many different levels. Quote
Members John81 Posted July 28, 2010 Members Posted July 28, 2010 I heard about this on AFR. The school is basically saying her Christian beliefs are invalid and since she holds those beliefs she doesn't deserve to be a counselor. Back when the psychiatric association determined, based solely on political grounds, to remove homosexuality from being listed as a mental illness which is treatable (with abundant evidence of the effectiveness of proper treatment) many left the association. Today most just blindly join and support such. The best professor I ever had used to be a school psychologist. He was one who the psych association over this. This man went on to raise a wonderful family, was an exceptional school psychologist and principiled, practical professor. Indeed the leftists want all things to be acceptable unless they disagree with it. Then there is no room for tolerance. Quote
Administrators HappyChristian Posted July 28, 2010 Administrators Posted July 28, 2010 This is ridiculous! I posted a comment and it's waiting moderation. There are actually a number of good comments on there. I hope the person who reads them chooses some of the good ones as well as the ones that are against the girl. Quote
Members trc123 Posted July 28, 2010 Author Members Posted July 28, 2010 The notion that a Christian cannot provide the appropriate assistance to someone with whom they disagree with is stupid. The very person's that a Christian is prone to help are those who are in their trespass and sin, as we know they need the cleansing and restoration that repentance and forgiveness brings. Do I believe a homosexual is sinning against God and them self, yes! Would I discriminate and advocate they not have the right to rent an apartment or be provided that same services from government as anyone else, no! Like I said earlier, the school's position is so wrong on many levels....... Quote
