Well...his birthday was...not good LOL he got a terrible sinus infection and was in bed most of the day and we cancelled our date...today he had a dr visit and is doing a little better, enough to preach, but still drained and not feeling well.

Hopefully we'll get more signups for VBS! Surely we will.

Date rescheduled sometime next week. haha.

He did still eat the German Chocolate Cake I made him!!!!

Glad to see he was well enough to preach! Praise the LORD! In responce to him still eating the cake, Jess said, "just like a man!" Wait a minute! I resemble that remark!
BTW, it appears everyone around here took their vacations all at once! Y'all aint the only ones! Praying for y'all.

Looking down on y'all? Never.

Now y'all are assuming and or trying to read between the line and your doing a very poor jOB of it. Now I've been accused of being pious and of looking down on people, such accusations really are not very becoming of Christians. With that I will say no more.




Suzy, Hope and pray your hubby sinus prOBlems are soon gone, I did not realize he had this prOBlem. I use to have such trouble so I know what it is like. But thankfully in the last several years I've had little prOBlems with it. Once a doctor wanted to do surgery on my nose. I refused the surgery, the doctor thought I was silly, yet things have worked out pretty good not having that surgery. I know at least 3 who did, and it really did not help very much.

PS. Sounds to me life the prOBlem was the sinus infection making him feel bad

I've never had my birthday mentioned, never had a card, nor a gift, but I never expect one, if I was offered anyone and or all of them I would say, "Thanks, but no thanks, we honor only our Father, and His Son Jesus at this church, and if we deserver any rewards, we will receive them from our LORD.

Perhaps God laid it on their heart to honor you with a birthday card and some spending money. Are you going to rOB them of a blessing by telling them, "No?"

I'm surely not going to expect it, and get disappointed, get down in the dumps, when or if no one in the church I pastor fails to acknowledges my birthday by card or gift.

By the way, i was speaking only of the church I pastor.
