Book Review/Warning

Lucado is either completely lost or a major compromiser - or both! He is (or was) a pastor in the Church of Christ - which teaches another gospel. To do so, it either means he is there because he believes in a gospel of works (ie. adding baptism and good works to what Jesus has done), OR he is so ecumenical that he thinks it doesn't matter what gospel you believe in. I think it is more the second as he unites with many other ecumenical people and ministries.

As a young believer, I was introduced to his books. I liked some of what I read - but as I read more, I became seriously dismayed by how much he played fast and loose with the Bible and its stories.

I seem to remember him having a good book out several years ago. Can't remember what it was now. I think he had a good Christmas book, if I remember correctly.

I don't mind if people make the stories in the Bible a little more relateable to us in modern times just so long as they don't go overboard with them.

I do like to think that Christ was a little bit fun, though. At least he did go to "parties." lol
Not in the modern day sense, of course, but feasts and such.
