I have a CD "John Bunyan Collection" Volume 19. Produced by "Ages Digital Library". How can I get the files from the CD-Rom to digital files I can upload to my cloud. Does anyone know where the "Ages Digital Library" are these days? The Website is no longer running. Thanks.

I'm curious, in what professional area of technology can your church use the most help in where finances make it challenging? Websites, social media manager, soundboard training, graphic design?

I have a new laptop and seemed to have visited an undesirable site as I get programs taking over my browser, so much that it is almost unusable. Some of these are in the form of questionaires purporting to be from from genuine programs I have installed such as my my internet supplier, others seem to be adverts, and others undesirable. Well they are all undesirable, but you get my meaning. I need to get rid of these. On a previous computer when I had the same problem I contacted our local computer repairer and he said use two programs, one was Rkill but I forgot the other. I can't remember which order he said use them. I tried contacting him Wednesday but he seems …

Does anyone here attend a church that has its own Android/iphone app for its members? It the day and age that we live in, it seems more and more common that churches are using different forms of technology. If your church has its own app, Do you find it beneficial/helpful? What size is the church? Did you stop printing paper bulletins and go digital? Did it increase the tithing/offering?

I've been getting a lot of requests from people who run ministry sites for help, or data that will allow them to create their own online Bible on their site. So I decided to make it more readily available. I grabbed the domain https://osBible.org which now redirects to my GitHub repository containing a number of MySQL table downloads as well as a few simple scripts for accessing the data. I'll be adding more scripts as I have time.

Couple of years ago, I got rid of my cable T.V. Saved much money. I got me a digital antenna for my T.V free local and more stuff, and watch internet like YouTube from our devices to my T.V screen. I remember having in my back yard many years back a large 9 foot round dish for T.V signals, time flys. We are living in the computer World. I was wondering why did God let man get so advance?

If you want to check out the progress on my newest project I whipped up a development mirror to show the current status. If you go to https://dev.notforsaking.com/ you can see what I have so far. --Monday I got the page to load all Tulsa churches. --Yesterday I changed it to a static page and loaded the churches via ajax. --Today I polished the design and made it look better. --My next step is to start zoomed out showing the entire US and show grouping markers for the states, with a count of how many churches are listed in each state. --After that I'll allow grouping markers for cities as the map is zoomed in. --At the …

I just ordered this digital notebook to help with writing my notes to text. So far from my research (at $200) it seems to be the best compromise to the ReMarkable 2 ($500+). Anything over $200 I would just go with the Lenovo Duet (At $250 with keyboard and cover included and pens for a small extra cost, it is the best value/quality alternative to the Surface Pro $600+). I'll try to do a review of the "ORIGIN" after I get it for those interested. I got my wife the Lenovo Duet and she loves it. It has replaced her laptop and it is practically a do it all device. It doesn't have a lot of built in slots but has an all in one USB-C slot that can pretty much connect to a d…

Many, many years ago I came across "The C.H. Spurgeon Collection" for a super bargain basement price - so I grabbed it. Now I am not a huge Spurgeon fan, but I can appreciate his body of work. When we upgraded the church computer, we went to a 64bit system, and it seems as though no matter what I do, the Ages software will not load. I have downloaded the PDF's from the disk (that is the storage format), but the beauty of the software is that it gives a great index system. I can print the index, but then have to go and find the individual PDF files - painful...…. (21st century problems hey?! ?) So, any of you pooter gurus know of any way to get t…

I do use two OS's on my computers. 1. Linux 19.1 2. Windows 10. Version 1803. Due to automatic windows updates, Windows took away my version 1803 and installed the new November 2019 update, Windows 10 version 1909. Among other problems, the following was terrible. 1. The update took away my Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail system. I had to re-install it. 2. The update took away my Corel Video Ultimate 2018 video creator. I had to re-install it. 3. Worst of all, it replaced my Windows Office Home & Student 2016 and replaced it with the a version that will only allow me to even look at my documents using One Drive. Now, I cannot use my Offi…

Hello, I would just like to share this new online resource I found to the group. I think it's quite nice and the features look good so it might be of help to anyone who wants to start their own website and spread the Good Word. It's called the hPage website builder. You can create a free website there but if you want the upgraded features, there's a package for that as well. Check them out here: Create a free website - hPage.com

Ever get scammed into one of those "calls" or know someone who did? http://www.pearltrees.com/awhn/the-loud-cry-revelation-14-12/id5277051 Ever know anyone who was scammed into allowing a person on the other end of a phone access to your computer, and then after you got suspicious, or agitated, they immediately "syskey'ed" your windows computer, and now you are permanently locked out of your own computer unless you pay a ransom fee to the very persons who hijacked you? Well, I actually have such a story, and I have a pretty simple solution that worked for a relative of mine, who came to me with their now 'Syskey'ed' machine, Microsoft tablet. I took th…

I wish to install Bible software for Linux. I do have a DVD with the OnlineBible, which says it will install under Wine, but when I try to install it to USB stick it says I don't seem to have administrative rights for that operation of that drive. I looked on some websites and one recommended Sword (It said the Linusx version was Xiphos) or Word. Has anybody tried either of these? How would I download and install one of these. PS The laptop mentioned in my previous thread just went click and failed again. It worked for a month, but I didn't use it every day.

Hello, I am currently working on a Macedonian Christian website called Hristos.MK (Hristos = Christ) and I am in a need of a good logo, but am not really good at graphic design, so I would like to ask you if you can make a logo for me. I need it in two dimensions: 60x45 (without text) and 240x180 (with text) The logo can have a cross, a bible, and/or an ichtus symbol (fish). The text should be this: ХРИСТОС.МК (it is in cyrillic letters) Thank you in advance, God bless!

Some months ago, I spilt a cup of coffee over my other (newer) laptop. The lid was closed but the PC died straight away. I stood it on end and about 24 hrs later I tried it again and it worked for about 30 minutes then just died again, I tried a number of times over that period but it did not work. Also tried my local repair man from time to time, but couldn't contact him This evening I plugged it in and it booted up. It seemed to work but was very slow. I have left it charging in the other room. It may peck up later. All my files are on it which I thought I had lost, I will have to back them up.

As some here may know, I'm a Linux OS user. For anyone who may be a Linux user, and you've wanted to try Arch, but you didn't feel comfortable or ready to attempt installing Arch...this might be for you. If you're new to Linux, DON'T install Arch, or you'll be doing a lot of this --> Arch is sort of like the pinnacle of Linux. I won't go into all of the details, because unless you're familiar with Linux (and Arch), it won't mean much to you. Just know that an Arch installation isn't easy! I've tried several of the "easy" installers...Pacbang, Architect, and Antergos. They were all easy (compared to a regular Arch install), with Antergos being the easiest way to g…

I am using uBlock Plus which has been stopping all ads, but today I get large ads on the right hand side of the screen. They take up about a third of the screen. How can I stop that? One I get quite a lot is The Continuing Church of God. Any idea why? On a number of sites I have my password remembered, but also today, they have not been remembered.
