Ann Romney Asks the Right Question By Patrick J. Buchanan Friday - June 1, 2012 When Hillary Rosen said that Ann Romney had "never worked a day in her life," it was among the better days of the Romney campaign. For Rosen -- present whereabouts unknown -- both revealed the feminist mindset about women who choose to become wives and mothers and brought Ann Romney center stage. Before a Connecticut audience recently, Mrs. Romney spoke of her reluctance to see her husband pursue the presidency a second time and said she resisted, until she got an answer to one critical question. "Can you fix it?" she asked Mitt. "I need to know. Is it too late?" Mitt Romney replied,…

Sometime back I made a post about a classmate inviting a fellow classmate of ours to church, With him telling me he kept a watch on his face & he was stoned faced all though the services, & walked out of the church without saying a word to anyone. Today I got the rest of the story. My class mate told me our friend had invited him to their revival service, & he & wife went, When he walked in the door our classmate run up to him saying out loud so that everyone could hear, "This is unbelievable people, my classmate so & so just came in the door of our church, he never attends church, yet he is with us tonight," yet saying quite a bit more than this for…

Why is it worldly people in America beg for money from the public in order to set up a foundation so that they can do good for others? After I give to my Lord I do not have the money to support worldly people trying to do their good works. And if I have any extra money I feel I ought to be give it to my church & what good that is done with it, is done in only the name of Jesus, not some worldly person getting praised, or even worse, a false teacher of the Gospel. And with each new year there seem to be several more of these worldly people that come up with some idea how to do good for others by begging the American people for money in order for them to do good works…

10 REASONS WHY CHRISTIANS SHOULD FOCUS MORE ON THE GOSPEL THAN ON POLITICS 1. Politics change. The gospel doesn't (Matthew 24:35). 2. The gospel will transform our politics, not vice versa (Romans 12:1,2). 3. It's what Jesus calls us to do (Acts 1:6-8). 4. We are citizens of a different kingdom (Philippians 3:20). 5. It's what the early church focused on (Acts 4:23-31). 6. It attacks the root of evil and not just the fruit of it (Romans 1:16). 7. Politics can divide the body of Christ while the gospel will unite us (Philippians 1:27). 8. The gospel calls us to pray for politicians we disagree with, not hate them (1 Timothy 2:1-4). 9. The gospel brings po…

I know this seems strange to those goody-goody Christians that have been lulled to sleep by the soft message flowing from the lips of compromising preachers. We live in an age of softness, when people have been almost convinced to believe in the Good Lord and the Good Devil. We live in a time of love everybody, except those who are standing for the faith and battling for the faith once delivered to the saints.

Symphony in “F” (The story of the Prodigal son) Feeling foot-loose and frisky, a feather-brained fellow forced his fond father to fork over the farthings, and flew to foreign fields, and fettered his fortune feasting fabulously with faithless friends. Fleeced by his fellows in folly, and facing famine he found himself a feed flinger in a filthy farmyard. Fairly famishing, he fain would have filled his frame with foraged food from fodder fragments. “Fooey, my father’s flunkies fare far finer,” the frazzled fugitive forlornly fumed, frankly facing the facts. Frustrated by failure, and filled with foreboding, he fled forthwith to find his family. Falling at his …

Has anyone ever heard the sermon illustration about all of the men in some church missing a particular Sunday to go to a NASCAR race (or maybe another version of this illustration)? I am curious, because I thought I had heard this particular illustration before. I heard it again in a message that I was listening to online and this time it was told by a preacher who said that he was visiting this church at the time of the incident.

NEW BOOK CASTS DOUBT ON OBAMA'S CHRISTIAN IDENTITY May 18, 2012 NewsWithViews.com By Cliff Kincaid that Jeremiah Wright, former pastor of United Church of Christ in Chicago, told him that he “made it comfortable” for Obama to accept Christianity “without having to renounce his Islamic background.” The liberal media have harangued figures such as Franklin Graham when they have refused to state categorically that Barack Obama is a Christian. Now comes author Edward Klein telling Sean Hannity All of this is consistent with our point, made in 2010, that Muslims could join Wright’s church without giving up their Muslim faith. And while Obama accepted Christianit…

May 21, 2012 CHILDREN ARE BORN BELIEVERS IN GOD, ACADEMIC CLAIMS [Excerpts] Dr Justin Barrett, a senior researcher at the University of Oxford's Centre for Anthropology and Mind, claims that young people have a predisposition to believe in a supreme being because they assume that everything in the world was created with a purpose. "The preponderance of scientific evidence for the past 10 years or so has shown that a lot more seems to be built into the natural development of children's minds than we once thought, including a predisposition to see the natural world as designed and purposeful and tha…

What If Zimmerman Walks Free? By Patrick J. Buchanan Tuesday - May 22, 2012 Three months ago, George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer in Sanford, Fla., shot and killed Trayvon Martin. Handcuffed, taken in and interrogated, Zimmerman told police Trayvon had been acting suspiciously that dark and rainy night, that he had followed Trayvon, been knocked down and battered on the ground, and, fearing for his life, pulled a concealed handgun and shot him. Sanford police and prosecutors concluded that Zimmerman acted in self-defense and had not committed a provable felony. They let him go. A racial firestorm followed. "Blacks are under attack," railed Jesse Jackson…

A new kind of Republican? Mia Love is unlike any Congressional candidate ever -- she is African-American, she is Mormon, and she is conservative. Republicans have deemed her race in Utah's newly drawn 4th district one of the top ten most important races in the country, vowing to spare no expense to get her to Congress. If she wins, Love would be the first black Republican woman ever elected to the House of Representatives. Check out this week's Spinners and Winners to hear Love's first order of business should she get to Washington, and her response to people who say her race is playing an out-sized role in all the attention she is receiving from the Republican party.…

Has the Bell Begun to Toll for the GOP? By Patrick J. Buchanan Friday - May 18, 2012 Among the more controversial chapters in "Suicide of a Superpower," my book published last fall, was the one titled, "The End of White America." It dealt with the demographic decline of the white majority and what it portends for education, the U.S. economy, politics and national unity. That book and chapter proved the proximate cause of my departure from MSNBC, where the network president declared that subjects such as these are inappropriate for "the national dialogue." Apparently, the mainstream media are reassessing that. For, in rare unanimity, The New York Times, The Washin…

Romans 9:21-23 King James Version (KJV) 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? 22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: 23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

JUST THINKING OUT LOUD May 10, 2012 NewsWithViews.com By Coach Dave Daubenmire . “Matri” is Latin for “mother.” “Mony” is a suffix that means “to make.” Hence, Holy Matrimony was a sacrament whereby a woman received the blessings of God for the purpose of becoming a mother. It was a God-ordained, God-established union for the purpose of producing a family. A “marriage license” is not necessary in order to be joined in Holy Matrimony. Marriage used to be called Holy Matrimony In fact, the marriage license is a legal document that makes the state a partner to the marriage. It gives jurisdiction over the union. Until 1923 marriage licenses were only needed for int…
