Taken from my Facebook: "It's this. On a set day, a bunch of guys (I say 'guys' for a reason) go to Wal-Mart, or some other store, to buy something. As they go to the cash-register and attempt to purchase the item, they refuse to pay tax, due to what the money would partially be going to (specifically, abortion; Planned Parenthood). Meanwhile, a guy behind him, who would act like they didn't know each other, would have a camera pen in his shirt pocket, recording video and audio (for YouTube). It's dangerous, as security, police, etc. could be called. You might get thrown in jail, fined, whatever. But it would get the point across - we don't want to support MURDER. …

The news was strangely quiet about it except for reporting it soon after it happened, but do a search for the killing of Nancy Davis...really sad...a missionary couple I'm sure were saved and doing a good work in Mexico. Gunned down after a checkpoint. Sad. The violence of Mexico has really been toned down with all this border mess.

Lake of Fire

http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/01/28/fully-mature-black-holes-time-stands/ I've always wondered if a Black Hole could be the lake of fire....We know in a Black Hole that it is so hot, that objects which get anywhere within the event horizon get so hot, they emit x-rays. We also know time stands still inside of a black hole... and we know that things are constantly being pulled towards the center. It would also, of course, be a very DARK "hot".... Its really something to think about, even if not...its a good picture.

PAUL, A Man of Grace and Grit From the Bible – Teaching Ministry of Charles R. Swindoll, Insight for Living Goals; “Knowledge…apply what we learn so that we will change and grow.” Disclaimer: Let me begin by telling you up front there are no KJV scripture quotations. I’m not going to debate versions in this book review. Although the book was meant to be a study guide, I read it as a book on the life of Paul and referred to my own KJV for scriptures referenced. I personally didn’t like some of the non-Biblical quotations chosen for emphasizing some facts. Introduction A quote from the introduction… “Join us now as we set out to dispel the erroneous myths surrounding…

The hostess apologized to her unexpected guest for serving an apple-pie without any cheese. The little boy of the family left the room quietly for a moment and returned with a piece of cheese which he laid on the guest's plate. The visitor smiled, put the cheese into his mouth and then said: "You must have better eyes than your mother, sonny. Where did you find the cheese?" "In the rat-trap, sir," replied the boy.

A local woman, 96, died that was a member of the church I pastor. Her husband was a preacher, never held a church, life long member of this church. His father was one of the founders and 1st deacons of this church. When this lady's husband retired at about 62 years of age way before I come on the scene, he and wife traveled a lot never attending church again. When I was called to be pastor I visited these people many times, after about 4 years I stopped visiting them and inviting them to church for it seem…

I was listening to an old Fundamentalist preacher talking about how much has changed within Fundamentalism during his lifetime. This kind of got me to wondering how many of us hold to the Fundamentalism of then or have accepted the changes and hold to the changed Fundamentalism. He spoke of how early Fundamentalists would accept either no make-up or the absolute minimal amount which was virtually unnoticible. "Painted ladies" was considered to be for prostitutes and a sign of worldliness. He spoke of how the Fundamentalist women back then all had long hair and knew why and what that meant. He spoke of how Fundamentalist women wore ankle to floor length dresses all y…

2010 Annual Report We want to thank all those who helped us this last year. When I look around at all that happened in 2010 I am reminded of the words of Jesus in John 9:4 "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work." The world in which we live is getting darker all the time. We must ask ourselves: How long do we have to reach the world with the gospel? While giving was down this year God opened up some doors that allowed us to send bibles and scripture to Ghana and Nigeria via containers in the States. This significantly reduced our shipping costs and allowed us to use the majority of our budget to purchase bibles…

Glenn Beck's New Book Reveals He Embraces New Age Theology, Is a Knowledgeable Mormon, and a Universalist By Brannon S. Howse In August of 2010, I predicted on my national radio program that it was only a matter of time before Glenn Beck would release a distinctively religious book that would promote his New Age Mormonism and universalism. I sensed that Glenn was setting himself up to be the politically conservative alternative to Oprah. Many self-professing Christians cannot see what Beck is up to but there are those in the unsaved world that seem to be exhibiting more worldview understanding than some in the Christian community. The Business Insider published an a…

The RCC is considering sainthood for late Pope John Paul II what do you think? He has to have performed miracles. So a nun has come up with one... The first signs that Sister Marie Simon-Pierre was about to experience what many consider a miracle came after evening prayers, when it seemed a voice spoke to her demanding: “Take your pen and write.” The French nun, who had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease four years earlier, in 2001, did as commanded. “And my handwriting was perfectly legible” she said. “Astonishing! I lay on my bed amazed.” Only hours before she had tried to write the name of John Paul II, the charismatic, globe-trotting pope to whom she …

I have just been made aware of a site that provides personal information such as name, address, spouse and children's names and ages, financial information, etc. Some of the more detailed information is available for a price, but available nevertheless. The site is Spokeo.com . I was extremely upset when I discovered it, but opting out of their "service" so that your personal information is not visible is easy and free. Just click on the 'privacy' link at the very bottom of their home page and follow the instructions. I also discovered that WhitePages.com has similar information available, and if you are willing to pay for a subscription they too will provide …

Some of you long time members may remember Micki Harjo...I don't think she was ever on this board but she was on a related board a long time ago....anyway they are missionaries out in New Mexico on an Indian Reservation. She's 42 years old....in December she was diagnosed with colon cancer. Last week she went in for surgery to remove the cancer...well it seemed to go well but then there were complications and it seems that she is dying right now. Last I heard they are running brain scans to check for any activity and then will be removing the ventilator when her mom arrives. Very sad.....things happened fast...and then a semi routine surgery turned into death. Life…

There is a girl I have as a FB friend that my husband and I went to high school with. I wasn't ever good friends with her but I knew her and talked to her sometimes. Anyway she sent me the friend request a couple months back and in a way, ever since then, I sort of wish she had not. She posted that first week about having a hard week, wishing things would look up, life needs to be normal, etc... so I tried to post some encouraging comments to her and tell her I will pray for her. She said she appreciated it but that was about it. I suppose as the weeks went on I realized it wasn't an isolated issue, but a frequent thing she does so my replies became more rare. I even enco…

Killing Dogs (An analogy) “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” (Rom. 8:13) If I had a dog nipping at my heels everywhere I went, and he kept biting my feet, I would only have two permanent solutions for the prOBlem--either kill the dog, or cut off the foot! Killing the dog would be the easier of the two, since he may decide to nip at the other foot, but killing dogs can bring much reproach from society, no matter what the reason. Nonetheless, killing the dog would be less painful for us, and more convenient. We must kill the dog, in spite of the reproaches of men. As Chris…
