What a blessing of fresh air this forum is after coming from the wonderland of liberals called BaptistBoard.com For the first time in my life...in December of 2003 I got on the internet, and wouldn't ya know it the first forum I got in was BB, boy was I shocked...I knew King James Bible mockers were out there but I guess I hoped it wasn't that bad. I found less than 10 that stood for The Old Black Book that this nation was founded on and it is a blessing to find Bro. Will Kinney here because he was a defender of The Bible on BB that stood with us . Most ( including myself ) are soon banned from BB when they don't fall in line with their biased New …

God's Preservation Philosphy

Often in the KJV debate we say that God preserved every word and this is very crucial to understand when comparing Greek texts or translations. I understand the error of missing words found in the modern translations and agree with the perversions of Truth. But I recently noticed the following in my daily Bible reading that seems to clearly show God's philosophy of "word for word" preservation. -- just an observation. In II Samuel 7 and I Chronicles 17 you find two parallel accounts of Nathan receiving the Word of the Lord for David. Both accounts are referring to the same event and the same Word from God. With the KJV, and obviously the orginal Hebrew from …

A Response to Rick Norris' book, The Unbound Scriptures, A Review of KJV-only Claims and Publications. The "logical" Premise of Mr. Norris James D. Price Ph.D, one of the NKJV translators, writes the Foreward to Rick Norris' book called The Unbound Scriptures. In this preface Mr. Price sums up the conclusions of Mr. Norris saying: "Norris demonstrates that the doctrine of inerrancy can be successfully applied ONLY to THE ORIGINAL AUTOGRAPHS, but not to any translation, including the KJV." (Caps are mine throughout) He also says: "Norris shows that the doctrine of preservation can be applied properly ONLY to the text of THE ORIGINAL AUTOGRAPHS, and that the…

Definition Of "Monogenes" by Scott Jones It is well-known among native Greeks that modern Greek morphology is virtually identical to Koine/Biblical morphology. That means the language has been relatively stable for the past two thousand years and thus the definitions have undergone virtually no change as well. Native Greeks have not been reading the scriptures in Swahili for the past two thousand years. Native Greeks have been reading the scriptures in GREEK - their own mother tongue - for the past two thousand years. They understand their own language better than Anglo-bible scholars and modern version translators who can't speak Greek, even though these Anglo-bi…

Daniel 9:26 "shall Messiah cut off, but NOT FOR HIMSELF" An extremely important Messianic prophecy about the significance of the death of Christ has been drastically changed in a multitude of conflicting modern versions. "And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, BUT NOT FOR HIMSELF." The Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, was killed not for Himself but for His people. He laid down His life as a ransom for many. He gave Himself for the church, laid down His life for the sheep, and purchased the church of God with His own blood. There is no verb in the Hebrew text here. It reads "but not for himself". This is also the reading of the Bishop'…

2 Cor. 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. I studied on 2 Cor. 2:17 and examine the word, "corrupt." I have English dictionary, Greek dictionaries and Bible commentaries. What did they define the word, "corrupt" is that I list 4 words here: 1. Retail 2. peddle 3. huckster 4. adulterate I ask you for picking which word for the definition of corrupt. Please will you pick one of 4 for right definition for me?

The Issue Is Final Authority, Part One By Kyle Stephens, Pastor of Blessed Hope Baptist Church, Coon Rapids, MN, USA Man can sure get things fouled up, did you know that? We managed to blow complete perfection back in the garden, and then when the solution and answer was set forth in its completeness and simplicity, men managed somehow to get the message discombobulated so that its hardly recognizable (II Cor.11:3). Yes sir, buddy, we can flat sure make a mess of things. I think that I remember reading somewhere in some ol' outdated Book from ages gone by that "God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions." Yup, the more I think about it, the …

The Pursuit of God by A.W. Tozer Chapter 6 : The Speaking Voice In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Joh_1:1 excerpt, The Bible will never be a living Book to us until we are convinced that God is articulate in His universe. To jump from a dead, impersonal world to a dogmatic Bible is too much for most people. They may admit that they should accept the Bible as the Word of God, and they may try to think of it as such, but they find it impossible to believe that the words there on the page are actually for them. Aman may say, 'These words are addressed to me,' and yet in his heart not feel and know that they are. …

Psalm 12:6-7 and Bible Preservation by Jack Moorman ©FOUNDATION Magazine, March-April 1994 It is a blessing for the believer to read that God has not only inspired the Holy Scriptures but also preserved them. A good number of passages declare this truth. Questions, however, have been raised as to whether we should include Psalm 12:7 among them. The entire Psalm needs to be read: Psalm 12 To the chief Musician upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. 1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. 2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. 3 The LORD …

God bless and Happy Easter to you all. It's been awhile since I've been on this board. I've started to attend the most conservative Baptist church we have where I live, Hamilton Square Baptist Church which is an IFBC. However, they are only KJ PREFERRING while not recognizing the TR problem, the underlying text problem etc. Quelle heavy sigh. Well, it's as good as I'm going to get locally and God bless them, they ARE taking quite a Biblical stand here in this wicked city. Well, on my own, I'd purchased Which Version Is The BIBLE? by Dr. Floyde Nolen Jones at http://www.nogreaterjoy.org/. I'v only just started it but it is MARVELOUS! Not only is…

(Greek letters do not appear correctly in this forum, see link) :D False Citations in NA/UBS 1 Timothy 3:16 Examined by Scott Jones The critical apparatuses of NA/UBS are SATURATED with false citations. For example, there are no less than SIX FALSE CITATIONS by NA/UBS in 1 Timothy 3:16 alone. Five uncials are falsely cited in support of OS instead of THEOS in 1 Timothy 3:16. These uncials are Aleph A C F G. Four of these uncials read THEOS in the original hand, whereas ultraviolet technology demonstrated that most of the corrections of Aleph, ESPECIALLY those with doctrinal significance, were made before Aleph ever left the scriptorium. Tischendorf stated …

I was talking to a co-worker who goes to the church of christ. They have a pastor who can read Greek and Hebrew and does so regularly in his sermons. (I suppose this is to impress everyone?) He uses the NASB and the NKJV as does most of the congregation. I was trying to explain that the KJB is the only true word of God and all others are corrupt versions that have many errors and are translated out of corrupt texts. He said that the KJB is no different. His pastor tells them that the KJB has an error in the translation of the word baptize. It should have been translated as submersion and not transliterated as baptize. I told him that baptize means to submerge but the W…

THE BIBLICAL DEFENSE FOR THE VERBAL, PLENARY PRESERVATION OF GOD'S WORD DR T. M. STROUSE Problems With Modern Versions Advocates of the modern translations movement (ASV, NASV, NIV, NEB, RSV, etc.) hold to the conceptual view of inspiration. They believe the God inspired His divine concepts and then preserved these concepts in the extant Manuscripts (MSS). Consequently, through the science of textual criticism, man can restore the approximate wording of the original text. Since the concepts are inspired and preserved, the exact words representing these concepts may not be available and may very. Hence the modern version and their underlying Hebrew and Greek texts d…

Did any of you catch the Peter Jennings program tonight bashing the Apostle Paul? I had to turn it off, matter of fact it is still on right now. They gathered together the most liberal pastors and unsaved "scholars" they could and it is open season on brother Paul's writings. They make him out to be some kinda cultic leader who didn't even realize what he was doing. They made it sound like all of what he wrote was his own ideas and made it look like he was contradicting himself at every turn! :( God Bless!

Devils or Demons? "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines OF DEVILS." 1 Timothy 4:1 There are a multitude of Bible critics who insist the King James Bible is in error when it translates the Greek word daimonion as "devils". They tell us this word should be translated as "demons" and not devils, because everyone knows there is only one Devil, that is Satan, and not many. Let's do a little word study to see if there is any legitimacy to their claims. The late Baptist pastor and King James Bible defender Bruce Lackey wrote a little book titled Why I Believe the…

Isaiah 45 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. People tell me that God didn't create evil. If he didn't, who did? I've been told that Isaiah 45 : 7 isn't translated correctly in the KJV.

The latest craze among certain "scholars" is to say that the book of Matthew, and other books such as Hebrews, were originally written in Hebrew or Aramaic. What are their proofs if any, and what are they trying to accomplish by doing this........ you may be suprised to find out....... I would like to hear the opinions of the forum

Wrong Numbers in Modern Versions If you can't trust the numbers in the Holy Bible to be right then how can you trust the words that are between the numbers? The following examples show how modern versions like the NIV, RSV, ESV, NASB disagree with each other and often reject the Hebrew texts that underlie the King James Holy Bible. Numbers do not usually lend themselves to a variety of ways to translate them. That is why this specific study will focus on some of the differences in the numbers found in the various modern versions. All "bibles" are not the same, and they do not all teach the same truths but with different words. Luke 10:1 "After these things the…

Forever Settled A Survey of the Documents and History of the Bible Introduction and Table of Contents Compiled by Jack Moorman FORWARD Many believers have studied World History and know something about the history of their country. Not so many have studied Church History and traced the silver thread of those who maintained the Pure Faith down through the centuries. Fewer still have studied the history of the Bible. From the time that it was breathed out by God, through its various stages of transmission, down to its present form in our day. This book attempts to do this. Three kinds of books have been written on this subject. The first is from a totally natu…

Questions for the KJV Critics 1. Since you're smart enough to find "mistakes" in the KJV, why don't you correct them all and give us a perfect Bible? 2. Do you have a perfect Bible? 3. Since you do believe "the Bible" is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice, could you please show us where Jesus, Peter, James, Paul, or John ever practiced your terminology ("the Greek text says...the Hebrew text says....the originals say...a better rendering would be....older manuscripts read...." etc.)? 4. Since you do not profess to have a perfect Bible, why do you refer to it as "God's word"? 5. Remembering that the Holy Spirit is the greatest Tea…
