I am looking to purchase a Bible for my toddler. It has to be KJV, and preferably something he can grow into in the next couple of years. All of the children's Bibles I see are MV's. Any suggestions?

Luke 17:9 I trow not In Luke 17:9-10 of the King James Bible we read the words of the Lord Jesus Christ saying: "Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I TROW NOT. So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: for we have done that which is our duty to do." There are a multitude of anti-King James Bible sites that love to bring up the rendering of this verse - "I trow not". They mock at this expression; tell us it is impossible to understand; and then try to get you to switch to a version like the NIV, NASB, Holman Standard or the ESV. Do any of thes…

Neesings and Habergeon Job 41:18 "By his neesings a light doth shine" There are many King James Bible critics who find fault with some of the "archaic" or old fashioned words in the Authorized 1611 Holy Bible. When these critics bring up lists of difficult or archaic words they hope you will then turn to something like the NIV, NASB, NKJV, Holman Standard or the ESV, as though all these conflicting bible versions were just the same as the King James Bible but with only the language updated to be more modern. One such Bible critic begins by addressing the issue of archaic or hard to understand words found in the King James Bible, leads you through a few e…

For some reason even as a teenager attending Worldwide Church of God (I'm outta there!) I felt the KJV was more "proper." What was really weird to me at the time was when the minister would be reading out of the NIV or something and I'd think, hey, you skipped some! Fast-forward to 2001 or 2002. I didn't know different versions were even an issue until I visited the Jesus is Lord web site at http://www.jesus-is-lord.com. At that point I became a King James Only person. My husband has some NKJVs around and I think an NIV...but they're useful for pointing out errors, by comparing them side-by-side.

I researched the internet and noticed that certain publishers bought the NIV business. I noticed that the publishers also publish pro-homosexual books. My question: Are the publishers homosexuals as well? I wonder if anyone has heard about them or is familiar with them?

Thank you brother. I hope others too will begin to see the scholars are playing a shell game with the words of God, and that we have the true words of God in the Book He has providentially set His seal of approval on far more than any other - our beloved Authorized King James Holy Bible. Thank God for the faith He has given us to believe His words which will never pass away. Blessings, Will K

Does anyone know a good source with a list of errors and ommissions, perversions, etc, of the American Standard Bible (1901)? A book will help but an on-line source would be even better. I have found such for an analysis of the NIV but can't find verse-by-verse info for the American Standard. Thanks in advance for your help.

Philippians 3:20 "For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ." The word "conversation" in this verse if often criticized by those who do not believe the King James Bible is the inerrant word of God. In fact, the people I have heard criticize this verse do not believe any Bible or any text is the inerrant, complete and preserved words of God. Lately I have run into two people at the Baptist Board who criticized this verse as it stands in the King James Bible. One of them writes: "Archaic words may not be wrong. The word "conversation" for example is an archaic word that although today means "speech," then it …

Wrong Renderings in the NASB, NKJV, NIV, Holman, etc. The NASB Wrong Rendering #1 "They did flatter Him" Psalms 78 tells us of Israel's rebellion and sin against their God and of his continued compassion towards them. One of the people's many recorded sins is found in v.36: "they did FLATTER him with their mouth, and lied unto him with their tongue." We can flatter God - say all kinds of nice things about him yet not really mean them. God is not fooled by mans false words of adoration. Charles Spurgeon notes in his Treasury of David, a commentary on the Psalms, - Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongu…

Numbers 22 Why was God angry with Balaam? Is there a contradiction? It depends on which Bible you read. There are many sites that ridicule the Holy Bible and claim there are contradictions and errors. One such example is found in Numbers 22 where God apparently tells Balaam to go with the men sent from king Balak to curse Israel, and then God gets angry with Balaam for going. A well known atheistic site called Skeptics Annotated Bible has pictures of a mocking face and unbalanced scales along side the comment: "God tells Balaam to go with the men. Balaam goes with them. God gets angry because he went." One of the "Christian" apologetic sites that consisten…

I was alarmed to find out from my Pastor, (who has researched the issue) that some publishers are starting to make occasional word changes to the KJV. Some bibles have the changes and some do not. Has anyone else heard of this? He showed me one of the verses where the word "feet" was changed to "foot" (Sorry I do not remember the reference.) I was just wondering if this is a new thing or of some of you have heard of these changes. Here is a link to some of the information http://www.biblebelievers.com/believers ... t-kjv.html Thanks and God Bless

Judges 14:15 - The Seventh Day - a Riddle within a Riddle "For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? (modern day scholar who corrects the true Holy Bible) where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?" I Corinthians 1:19, 20. It is sad to see so many modern bible versions that corrupt the true words of God. It is sadder still to see so many Christians who don't seem to care about it. Many scholars today sit in judgment upon the inerrant words of the living God and tell us there are numerous scribal errors in…
