There are those who think as they read the Bible, if one of the Bible characters does some sins and God does not come out and condemn it right there, that its OK, that God will still count everything they do as righteous.

For instants, Lot. I had one person who thinks Lot getting drunk and his daughter having children by him was counted as righteousness, was not sin, because in those verse that tells about this God does not condemn these actions. I pointed to these verses in the New Testament, 1 Peter 2:7-8, they still held to the thought that Lot nor his daughters did no sin by doing those unspeakable acts.

Them we have those people who have set in churches under a pastor who preaches about sin, them tells everyone in their congregation he is not talking about them, He always pats them on the back telling them how good they are, that those who teaches standards are Pharisees, that they can do as they will, that gets much more money in the collection plate, it will also build numbers in a church.

I think its a fact, what is inside of a person will show up on the outside. That is if a person gets saved, truly saved, they will change from the inside all the way to the outside, no change, not saved.

Agreed Jerry, just saying that saved can backslide into sin. Look though at Lot, Sampson, David, Solomon etc. In study of thier lives there was great consequences of thier sins. Just as there is today. If a believer thinks they can live in sin without consequences they are wrong. God chastens whom He loves.

Correct on the Church. Often, where sin is preached against the turnover is great. Our Church has always preached against sin without appology and as a result we have had probabley 200 + folks walk the isle for salvation in the 15 years since ive been saved, and our membership is about 60. Some have moved away, but most others are either not in Church or found a Church that will not hurt thier feelings.

We must grow in grace.
