Members Kayla
I think I worry a lot because I don't feel safe. I think maybe after I get a husband that will change.

Members Kayla
I know I should feel safety in the Lord, but I just don't feel safe.
Members John81
My wife is like that. In some situations she just doesn't feel safe unless I'm there.

Members John81
A few years ago when my brother-in-law had a different job my sister would call me about once a week to go shopping with her because she didn't like going shopping at night without a man around either. Members John81
That's a good idea. Anything that can give you an advantage and possibly shock an attacker is a good idea. Beyond that, it can help one to feel better too.

Members Kayla
I want a handgun.
Members John81
Handguns are best if you are prepared for an encounter or if you have a decent amount of time to get your weapon ready and still have some space between you and the attacker. Otherwise, a handgun often isn't a good choice if one is surprised or rushed since they can be difficult to get to and put into use effectively...and in such cases can sometimes be taken and used against you. Another factor is that smaller caliber handguns, which are easy to carry, easier for most women to handle, and are generally easier to get to and get into action quicker, don't pack enough of a punch. Thousands of women (and some men) have discovered that a determined attacker can still harm, rape, kill or whatever their intent is, even with one or multiple small cailber bullets put into them. There is much to consider with such things, including the laws of where one lives and if one plans to take the handgun with them when they travel and what laws apply there. For home defense, if one has time to get to one, a larger caliber handgun can be great. A Moss pump shotgun is even better :Green :thumb
